Sari Style
At the Mumbai Film Festival, these lovely ladies were photographed wearing saris. While some of you may find the look(s) much to simple and/or rather basic, we sure welcome the refreshing change of pace these sightings bring to the page.
P.S: Tillotama is in Anavila.

Sakshi looks so much like Genelia. They can pass off as sisters!
Some resemblance to Nimrat too. :)
Sakshi looks nice. Its earthy & basic but still nice. Tillotama’s look – There is basic/simple/clean dressing and then theres atrocious dressing. She falls in the latter
Fully agree. Tillotama manages to look frumpy rather than simple.
+1
Tilottama looks like a village social worker – not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Sakshi looks nice.
Tilotamma look can pass off very well in the swadeshi movement but terribly unflattering here. She hasn’t even tried to glam it up either. Its like she has walked directly from boycott all foreign stuff parade in 1940 through a time portal here. I am trying to defend her thinking a girl does not need to dress up everyday and casual is fine too, but then I look at her hand and her hair and cannot do it. Its an event and she does not look presentable for that. Massively underdressed.
There is something pretentious about anavila sarees that makes me go really mad. Its like taking the basic handloom specially khadi sarees from freedom movement and making them ugly and overpricing and selling them as fashion stuff. Insulting to the traditional handloom wear actually
Well said. The pretentious part about Anavila. Lol. Agreed. And I feel the same “pretentious” part about a few celebs too. :D
OMG you took the word right out of my mouth. Pretentious is the only word I can use to describe Anavila sarees.
Lovely sarees; it indeed is refreshing!
And it should read “… much too simple…”.
Sakshi looks lovely. Love the color of the saree and the blouse she paired it with. Am glad she kept the make up natural – she has great skin and its glowing.
Sakshi – so gorgeous! And I agree with what many have said; Anavila sarees are overpriced and that makes it extremely pretentious.
