Ditto!
The first time we spotted this Rocky S dress (on Dia), we thought it was rather dowdy and unflattering. Now that we see it on Sarah Jane, we like it even less. The crimped hair and tired make-up just didn’t help Sarah’s case either, it only made the dress look even worse.
Perhaps soft marcel waves as far as hair was concerned and a striking red lip color would have helped this dress channel some old Hollywood glamor. But as things are, we don’t like it on either of the ladies but do prefer it on Dia if we had to choose.

Not at all “dowdy and unflattering” – the commentators on this blog are ridiculously hard to please hey… I wonder how THEY look!
The dress looks extremely shiny. Ugh.
Dia carries it better .. NO doubt about it !!
I disagree, I think Dia looks gorgeous. If she had worn this at an event in the West she’d probably get really high marks. Nice body, pretty dress, awesome color, nice shiny hair, nonflashy yet flattering makeup. Gorgeous.
yes, i agree. dia wears it better. but theres something about the fit of this dress thats way off the mark. its a tough one to wear.
Bleh! Care for none! Look at Sarah’s hare? It looks like a chidiya ka khosla! Diya pulls it off quite well.. but just cant care about it!
I think the dress is soo different and it looks lovely on dia.
ewww for Sarah Jane, don’t like her hair or make a bit
the length of the dress takes away the beauty.
LOVE this vintage looking dress, not not on these ladies..they don’t know how to style themselves!
the lenght of this dress is very awkward and unflattering.
Both dresses look a bit different. I dislike the shiny one on Dia even though I agree she wears it better. But I like Sarah’s dress more, looks more vintage-y pretty:)
*Oh my bad I guess Dia’s dress looks more shiny coz of the light…but they are the same lol
I think that if you are going to go classic, you have to go all the way, especially with a 20’s inspired dress like that. Take Drew Barrymore on the red carpet the other night- I know she’s nowhere near desi or anything like that, but she wore a very classic dress and accentuated it with the right hair an makeup so that it was chic and not tacky or dated.
I find nothing unflattering about Dia’s look. She carries it off really well, it can be a little different but that can go for anyone’s look they do.
