Sari Style
At jewellery designer Farah Khan’s book launch, artist Rouble Nagi was seen in a white benarasi sari featuring a simple floral border. It was nice to have a sari spotting but is the pallu worn over the right shoulder a deal breaker for you?

If you are a southpaw, it makes logical sense to drape this way.
In this case, am not sure if she is one. I don’t mind, it doesn’t matter to me. Its a lovely saree.
Love the saree !!!!! I want
dont care for the drape
It’s like looking at a mirror image. Just bizarre someone would drape it like that. Not different, not quirky, not experimental — just like someone flipped her YouTube tutorial and she followed the steps unquestioningly.
Love the sari, not the drape! Has she wore the sari the wrong way around? I notice there’s no design on the pallu, not even a continuation of the border so it looks like the start of the sari to me.
Now that you mention…I think you are right…the pallu looks like the attached blouse piece that comes with some sarees. I know some left handers drape their saree this way when they don’t have anyone to help them, but this just seems like she wore it “ulta” on purpose.
I am a South paw and the natural inclination is to drape the way she has… The saree fall is the savior as it help decide the direction of the drape :)
Logical if she is also one, otherwise doesn’t make any sense!
Intentional or not, I love it! Saree is gorgeous and she looks relaxed and has draped it well.
I drape my saree usually like this as I am left handed but I am forced to change it because it does not look ‘right’ to folks!
Is the saree Benarasi? Looks like Kerala Kasavu to me.
