While at a store launch in Mumbai last evening, Roohi was photographed in a Raw Mango sari. Giving it her own twist, she added a Gucci belt to the sari. A metallic bag, also from Gucci rounded out the look.
Whether you warm up to the look or not, there’s no denying Roohi owned every bit of it. The belt when paired with that sari, while unexpected, is very Gucci… Fits right in to that delicious excessive aesthetic that we’ve come to expect from the brand lately. We absolutely loved it!

no no no ….ouch…that belt just doesnt work …if at all a belt works then it hermes de collier de chein…not this pearl studded gucci…pearl and copper totally off combination ….and that too on plainer saree not on this one…my god
I like Raw Mango sarees but this isnt my cup of tea besides the belt is ruining it. The blouse is giving a very dated feel

Just because you throw a giant buckle Gucci belt on a saree it doesn’t make it high fashion. In fact it ruins a look. The saree and blouse are so striking as is they don’t need anything with it. Maybe a traditional South Indian gold belt(vaddraanam) could work.

it really doesnt work. for the Gucci “excess” or rather a hippie renaissance needs a lot more than another gucci bag. where are the big bracelets, the big rings? a whimsical necklace that would somehow tie it all up together?

There’s a level on which I hate how loud and obnoxious the belt is, but there’s also a level on which I think she does look good. But only in the photo. If I came across someone in real life wearing this, I would die laughing.
