A New Do

Comment image 64

Riddhima Kapoor sported a new do on Sunday at a brunch in Delhi. The Kapoor girl, who seems to have lost a lot of weight, went shorter and lighter with her hair. We don’t quite like the new do much, do you?

We thought she looked so much better last year in this other white dress and those same nude Louboutins.

  2. That new ‘do is hideous! So English county middle-age. And i shouldnt even start on the hair color! That said, she looks amazing neck down. ;)

  3. Why on earth d these people get their hair dyed blonde??? It looks really bad on Indian skintones.

That apart the length of her dress is a little awkward. If it was just above the knee, it would have looked better. Its aklso bunched up weird around her hips – is that th desgn or a bad fit?

  4. Love the new do, but hate the color! Why is it that every Bollywood celebrity has to dye their locks blonde to feel cool? Black is in!!

  7. She looks so much older now, is it because of the weight loss? Or the hair. Can’t make out. Not a fan of the new hair do or color.

  10. why do we try so hard to look ‘foreign’? The light hair just makes her look so aged. it just doesnt go with her skin tone.
Doesnt Indian beauty lie in dark glossy hair?

  11. who decided to make her the brand ambassador……no one even know whose she is.
But if they decided to make her then shouldnt they atleast make sure she looks half dewcent at events they organize. she is supposed to be representing the brand…..and here she looks like a wannabe lolo phirangi budi maa……..40 years old.

  12. I didn’t even realize it was the same person… She looks so good in her earlier photos.. who gave her this idea!! I agree with most here, however fair you are, blond hair do not go with the Indian skin tone!! She looks wierd in the recent pics, but boy!!, what do these people do to lose such an amount of weight!! Please share your secrets guys!!!

  13. Hmm…I think blonde does not go too well even with a hint of a brownish skin tone. It just washes you out! Seriously, she looks like she put on almost a decade of age with that dye job, and the weight loss did not work in her favor either.

Honestly, if the tummy is reasonably flat, your arms and legs are fairly toned, and you’re physically healthy, why even bother to try and take off another 10 or 20 pounds? To fit in a dress? Why not just get it in your size , so that you can fit into it?? :(

  14. Eeks…blonde hair on indian women…eeks!! i remember visiting india 5 years ago and apparently every girl worth her tight t-shirt dyed her hair in a light blonde…now, even they have given up the ‘trend’…talk about wannabes!

  15. What is it with desi women dyeing their hair this light. It looks so tacky, never matches the skin colour. Loved her avatar last year, she looked so classy.

  16. have always found her one of the ‘Pretty in a boring way’ category.
she’s quite young, why does she choose to dress/look beyond her years, i just dont get it. she needs to have some fun with her style and not become a ‘aunty socialite’ from THE DELHI”S

  17. erm she kinda gets away with the blonde (only just though) because of her skin tone or perhaps its the lighting in the pic, but still prefer her with darker hair and few extra pounds – the emaciated look does nothing for me.

  18. her hair look so lackluster and limp..hating the color..i actually like her look better at the times photo shoot..she looks so much more attractive with some chub on her

  20. She looks so much older with the light hair, but that could be due to the weight loss too. She doesn’t even look Indian anymore

  23. lol @ maya’s comment. she does look like bobby darling in her new hairdo. the new hairstyle is too old for her and makes her look stiff and boring. her new body looks good though. she must have got some tips from her cousin kareena.

  24. The weight loss isn’t too bad. Even the hair style is passable. It’s just that god awful hair colour. I hope she reads this site and changes it immediately. She totally looks older than her mother.

  25. oh ma god, she is not trying to look foreign, she has a light skin so she just used a light shade on her hair, she looks very classy and I see a bit of Kareena in her in the second pic. the jaw line the lips and eyes looks a little like kareena

  26. Jig, nothing is wrong with 40 year old; I will be 40 someday. It’s the hair style, hair colour, weight loss, dress, pearl necklace; all these put together make her look much much older than her age. That was my point. Is it still offensive? :/

  27. @Neha .. oh yeah , me too .. and I know who she resembles here .. think Komolika from kekta kapoor .. she is looking so much like her .. for a moment I was shocked to see Komolika dressed in a good way until i read the post.

  28. wow I thought those were 2 different people! I kinda like her in that color, definitely not the cut though.

I realllly like her nude pumps!

  29. i like the haircut actually, but the new colour is really bad.
i though that trend of indian women dying their hair blonde-ish had gone away for good, unfortunately it looks like it hasn’t :/

  30. All I know is she’s definitely gonna have fried frizzy damaged hair in the future cuz she dyed her hair that light. I remember when I got honey/blonde highlights when I was 16-17 my hair was really dry from all that bleach. You could already kinda tell her hair is turning frizzy.

I Learned my lesson and completely stopped dying my hair. I LOVE my jet black hair!

  31. I wouldnt have guessed it was her in a million years!!!
She looks so delectable in the older pic..totally droolworthy and now looks middle aged!

  32. why why is this blond color so popular among celebs..i find it too wannabe kinds…it jus gives me the air that hey i wanna look young…even a lot of aunties at the gym have blonde hair..looks so tacky..it not fit for indian skin tone..it simply makes one look older n darker..
