Rick Roy: Designer Or Darzi?
Does Rick Roy know the difference between a designer and a darzi. A designer creates original pieces, a darzi merely copies a designer’s pieces and can throw in some changes.
Looking at his work, what do you think should be Rick Roy’s correct title?
“Designer” or “Darzi”?
It’s ironic how it’s been Kangana who’s been wearing the – dare I say – “copycat” designs both times…
The second design in pink/purple is completely identical..what a shame.
However, I can’t tell if the first one is really a copy of Valentino..its not that clear..
really he is darzi!
Good part is that it’s SO easy to prove if sm1 is copying..and then that person loses all credibility. ppl wont even buy his/her original work, assuming that everything is a copy.
what is copycat about the first design ?
I think it happens everywhere nowadays. The local designers make replica of the silhouettes and put their names on it. How convenient.
definitely darzi. but, and i hate to say this, between the first designs i like the white kangana is wearing better.
All I can say is CHORI CHORI CHUPKE CHUPKE!!!
Love the headline, designer or Darzi.
This guy was in my batch at NIFT..he had a penchant for stealing things in general..in fact while in fashion school he was almost going to get dismissed for stealing a fellow classmate’s mobile phone.
i do agree dat the 2nd out fit is quite a copy nd its sad, but the last coment bout him is a lil bellow the belt,he was a lil wierd nd strange in school nd people wernt very fond of him including me, i was in his class as well in fashion school nd that whole thing bout him stealing nd all is not true at all,its 1 thing 2 coment over some onse professional work but its unfair 2 hav personal coments specilally when its completely untrue, it really isnt a gossip blog …
rick roy is a complete darzi…….zero on creativity and style. his studio shud be named rick roy tailors!!!! lololololol
shameful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he is not even very good at copying. The second outfit looks like he just draped Kangana in a bedsheet with a border.
The first looks pretty original… the second is a definite copy! So maybe designer-cum-darzi? ;)
