In Mugler

It was a vintage Mugler (as per her tweet) that Rhea wore to Masaba’s show at the Lakme Fashion Week. She paired the dress with a Celine bag and two-tone pumps.

The dress needed some fierce brought to it and perhaps on someone else it would’ve worked, on Rhea though, it didn’t. At all. The closed neckline and the deconstructed/slouchy shoulder was rather overwhelming on her.

On an aside, ‘vintage’ is ‘on trend’ again, as it usually is with Fashion every now and then. Those shoulders have made a comeback!

  1. No. No. NO. This just does not work. It looks like she’s wearing a giant trench coat and has nothing on inside. The shoes and bag only make it worse.

  2. Why does it look as though she is wearing a bathrobe. I havent ever liked this type of dressing ever! its sooo bathrobe-ish ewwwww.

  3. A friend once brought me back a kimono (stolen from her hotel room!) from Japan, and Rhea’s outfit reminds me of it. I wore my kimono as a bathrobe for years….

I have said it elsewhere and I’ll say it again, this girl does not have the face or style to be doing unconventional things (only the money). Chotis and salwars would look good on her :)

  4. I’m beginning to think this girl buys all unsuccessful designer wear on sale or something and tries to show off in India. These sisters are slavessss to brand names, particularly this one who doesn’t even have enough sense to put together a decent outfit. Creased, unironed, ill-fitted dress along with accessories better kept hidden at the back of a closet. Fashionista? More like a poor attempt at showing off the money and trying hard to look stylish.

If this doesn’t qualify as WTHeyy, I don’t know what will.

  5. Oh come on now. Why is this terrible look not in the WTHeyyy!!! category? If this is not WTHeyyy!!! then what is?

It should not matter if the outfit has a designer name and/or is vintage. I’m really disillusioned with the fashion commentary on this site. I hate to join the chorus but it seems some people are spared from criticism no matter how foolish that person looks.

  7. This color just does not complement dark skin tones. Ever heard about concealor?
To me it looks like these kapoor sisters have a check list of whats on trend now in Hollywood and use it in their daily lives. Natalie Portman is wearing a vintage dress? Okay, let me go and find one. After that there is no consideration for how the dress will look or even any thought given to originality.

  9. This is what we can call a classic example of ‘slave of fashion’, wearing things that are in vogue or back in vogue, and having no clue that you look utterly weired and funny in it.

BTW, she looks like a granny on her daily run to buy Werthers original hard candy from her local pharmacy ;-)
I do not give kudos or props for trying out wacky and completely ridiculous outfits in the name of ” changing it up” .

  10. Okay, Rhea. If you’re going to bother putting thought into your outfits and loving fashion (as you obviously do), why not put some thought into your makeup? You’re getting photographed, meaning people are looking at your photos. Do the viewers a favor and make it a complete package… otherwise… it’s a turn-off. We understand you’re not an actress, we won’t think you’re trying too hard, just that you’re meeting expectations. :)

  11. vintage mintage..whatever.. A hefty price tag doesn’t mean it’ll look good. She just doesn’t have the energy or vibe to pull this off..looks like she’s trying too hard
