In Twos

While out in Mumbai recently, Rhea was photographed keeping things casual in sweats, a tee and sneakers. Adding a pinstripe blazer to the separates, the stylist/filmmaker rounded out the look with a Balenciaga bag. Going the more dressed-up route at fashion week, Rhea sat front row at Kunal Rawal’s show wearing separates by the designer in question. Pair of chunky boots and an Hermès ‘Kelly’ were among her accessories of choice.

Which of her two looks has your attention?

  1. Blazer with track pants…Hmm. Never seen that combo before. Maybe swap sweats with corduroys, make the blazer better-fitted/sharper, and it might work.

  2. Rhea always adds that one element (sometimes 2) to her attire that she probably believes will make her look “ahead of the fashion curve” but in actuality makes her look frumpy or worse yet, ridiculous.
    Every. Single. Time.

  3. It’s hard to believe she is a stylist. Sometimes you have to look at their own disposition to get a sense of their work. Like an aestheticians own skin, a dental hygenists own teeth, a fitness instructor’s own fitness level, etc. Would an obese fitness instructor be very convincing?
Rhea gives me the same type of vibes – unconvincing. I have yet to see her put herself together in a way that is pleasing. Granted you dont have to look like a Sonam. She neither has the body type nor the personality. However, a stylist can and should be able to work with any average body type and be able to present her well too. It’s whatever works for that body type. For me, she fails on that count. Miserably.

There is nothing, absolutely nothing likeable about either of these two looks. Period.
