In Twos

Sister of bride-to-be, Rhea opted for white at the mehendi ceremony at home on Sunday and the mehendi/sangeet party on Monday evening. The home event saw her in an AJSK Gulabo kaftan and the party the next day, in a chikankari lehenga (also Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla).

Comfort was key to the younger Ms. Kapoor as evident by the kaftan and the sneaker pic. She seemed to be having loads of fun and that’s all that matters!

  1. Yeah, is comfort all that matters?? Or are you just saying that because it’s cool? NONE of your posts ever seem to indicate comfort matters to you guys. In fact the premise of this blog is the exact opposite.

    • Err. The post says, having fun is all that matters.
Why don’t you at-least read properly the three sentences that these posts compose off, before trying to fail at being snarky.

      • Why don’t you read comments before responding? Or do you have trouble reading between the lines. My comment acknowledges that this post says that (Note the word SAYING: “Or are you just saying that because it’s cool?”). But the comment also points to a distance between this post saying that and what the intent of this blog actually is. Next time, think before you type.

        • Your annoyance/snark/anger is misplaced. I think these ladies do a great job consistently sharing indian fashion with us, in all its glory. And they’ve covered many an easy breezy / comfort looks over the years. Just search for the word “comfortable” in the search bar and you’ll see a bunch if that’s what you’re looking for!

          • Here’s a simple question — who gets to decide WHEN it’s ok to have fun, and when it isn’t? So, for Rhea out here, they think it’s ok to have fun. But if someone else tried it, it could be fashion blasphemy.

  3. Looks like she’s drowning in fabric in the first one. Also an updo would be better. The open hair just adds to the frumpy vibe.

  4. She tends to ‘compromise’ a lot when it comes to fashion. I like that she is experiments because some results are surprisingly interesting (eg Mohit Marwa wedding) and rather beautiful. But in this case that beautiful lehenga and sneakers are just not right….unless she had bedazzled it or something. I do like the kaftan though.

  5. Why act like you are too cool (don’t care) ! You don’t have much going on in the fashion department so that’s why the sneaker show , for grabbing eyeballs? Especially when most of the ladies are wearing appropriate footwear you turn around and show them the sneaker in an effort to show your coolness .
P.s there are lots of flat comfortable Indian footwear available
