Sari Style

Designer saris and lehengas may come and go but there is something to be said about our rich traditional silks. We’ll just never get sick of them.

Sure, Rekha got her make-up a wee bit wrong and Anusha faltered a bit with the drape, but their saris were a sight for sore eyes.

  1. Rekha pulls out that same saree and jewellery again, priyankas saree is gorgeous. Don’t like the last one, can’t imagine anyone looking good in that colour.

  3. Rekha is OTT like always, but Priyanka looks the best of the lot. Not a fan of Anusha’s sari, although can’t find fault with her draping. Drapewise, Jaya Bachhan takes the cake; she always seems to drape her sarees around her like protective blankets.

  4. love the fact that all these ladies wore traditional silk sarees. I like Priyanka’s the best and Jaya’s saree is gorgeous but it’s draped really clumsily (like a blanket as Amodini mentions above). The last brown saree is actually really pretty but let down by bad styling. I could see someone like Mini Mathur or Maria Goretti rocking it with better accessories. Rekha has a signature look and is sticking to it!

  5. I love Rekha’s confidence, she never wavers from her time tested look, and she makes it work. There is no need to go shopping for every major event, just look into one’s wardrobe. Something a lot of us can emulate.
