At The Film Festival

Also at the Cannes Film Festival was model/actress Reeth Mazumdar who was there to showcase two of her films (‘Visible Bra Straps’ and ‘The Au Revoir’) and, she did that wearing Neeta Lulla and Jaya Mishra gowns.

While it was great that she was there for two of her movies, wish she had chosen her gowns with more thought. Not especially thrilled with the choices made; we’d rather have seen her go traditional over these.

Unlike Reeth, Paoli Dam went the traditional route while showcasing her movie ‘Chhatrak’ at the Film Festival. Three different appearances saw her opt for three very different outfits. While we scout for better pics, do you like what you see so far? While these wouldn’t have been our go-to options for traditional wear, we do appreciate the fact that she went that route.

  1. Hate the red black gown on Reeth but the white one is passable.

not liking any of Paoli’s outfit’s. The colors don’t do her any justice and the lehenga’s are too complicated.

  2. Those gowns are so meh, something you would expect to wear in bollywood blast functions, though the white one is better, red one makes me think of this frock i had in school, why can’t they dress up acc to age, instead trying to channel “Fashion”.

props to paoli for trying Indian route and thats about it. the only dress i love is the middle one. And i wonder, why are celebs so far “tacky”, “designer” sarees with weird drapes, why can’t they wear a normal traditional saree that millions of Indian women wear day to day and drape it elegantly. Ah well, thats why they r celebs i guess, trying to do something different even if it means messing up differently
