In Sabyasachi

The newlyweds were photographed wearing Sabyasachi, head-to-toe and in matching colors recently. Label fatigue aside, the couple looked good.

  1. This matching matching is really too boring and repetitive by now. Will they be twinning at all public appearances from now on? On the plus side, DP finally let her hair down…literally !!

    • First of all, they are coordinated and not ‘matching matching’. Whole lot of difference.
Second, they are still in their wedding hues. Let them enjoy this phase the way they wish.
Third, many couples all around the world (celeb and non-celeb) coordinate their outfits for social events and gatherings; including the super elite couple George and Amal Clooney.

      • Well, George and Amal are a different league.. never seen them co ordinate it match each other. But I agree Deepika n Ranveer matching everything is just silly.. like what for? Sillycouplehabits =p

          • Of course Clooney and Amal are in a different league. Amal is a high-profile international human rights lawyer and George Clooney is not just an actor but also a director. And all this shameless wedding PR puts Ranveer and Deepika in the league of desperate attention-seekers which is also reflected in their over-curated clothing and forced posing and posturing. Who wears Sabya to Siddhivinayak Temple and calls the paps?

          • Yes totally different in terms of personalities and therefore their choice of clothing. Ranveer is flamboyant and Deepika is confused in her dressing, what about their personality is comparable with George Amal… ??? Think before u take offence to just words. They have never matched their outfits, George is usually in typical suits while Amal in the nicest of ladylike dresses, very well dressed with interesting pieces, low accessories and great make up.

        • I dont think Indians even consider George Amal to be in any league, let alone be preferred over Deepika and Ranveer. We love our Indian stars more than anyone

  2. Label fatigue is the right word, wish they had staggered the Sabyas over a period of time. The colour is dull for my taste (same as Anushka’s Diwali saree colour), but they both look great, wishing them lots of happiness.

  4. Touchwood, in all her wedding pics, it is like the sun is shining from Inside her …she is radiating happiness and warmth !
On the styling side, the fatigues are many – yes, the label fatigue…and then the ‘twinning’ fatigue and also the ‘palette’ fatigue….most of the non function looks has been white or beige or cream !

  5. Its refreshing to see Deepika’s voluminous hair! She kinda looks like Diana Penty here. Also, more than label fatigue, I have color fatigue having seen them in pastels for almost all post-wedding appearance. Would’ve loved to see her in a colorful Raw Mango or Ritu Kumar deisgn.

    • But what’s really wrong in a beige / white outfit? It’s pretty evident that Deepika favours creams, beiges and whites. Should they wear colours just for the heck of it keeping aside their personal taste? I am on board with the hairstyle fatigue but I don’t get the Sabya fatigue too

  6. Color…. I wish them some color! As beautiful as they look, they colors and the heaviness of the outfits are getting very repetitive.

  7. I am gonna puke next time I see a Sabya sighting!!! Gosh!!
This look reminds me of the Mumbai reception outfit feeling like made out of same cloth….
    They both look adorable anyways!!!

    • Why puke n all? If this post hadn’t been tagged as Sabya, you would have liked it?
It is a nice suit, he designs nice clothes, so what if they are all from the same label! The clothes themselves couldn’t be more different!
Also, actually, out of all looks (1 mehendi, 2 weddings + 2 receptions + 1 dance party), only 3 – mehendi, dance party and sindhi weddings were sabyasachi. Rest were a local silk shop’s sarees (with sabya jewellery, which was pretty no doubt) and AJSK. So this label fatigue is more perceptive than real. The airport looks might be Sabyasachi, but they were ordinary looking clothes.
I like that for the first time I get to see that Sabyasachi designs non-bridal/heavy couture work as well and am sure the pics don’t do the lovely intricate work any justice!

  8. I think they have a theme going on for their wedding – white/beige/gold/brown and they are sticking to it! Let them enjoy! They deserve it! And someone with a busy schedule like theirs they just would have handed over their whole wedding festivities look to a few favorite designers they love and have a personal connection with cause at the end of it all if they are smart and good kids (which from what am hearing they are!) they probably paid more attention to enjoying every moment of it with their loved ones than going for the best wedding look ever! And as to regards their multiple parties it seems to me they are trying to make everyone happy and having different parties for different groups of people in their life. God Bless them!

  9. Phew! Finally she lets her hair down, literally. Both look lovely. Label fatigues, yes. Someone mentioned Raw Mango in the earlier post, and I agree. Would love to see her in one.

  10. Why would you need to be styled for a visit to the temple!! It’s seriously getting into some alternate reality here. Fatigue from sabya , matchy outfits, dull colours and awful jewellery. Those earrings are seriously tacky.

  11. AND DEEPIKKA IS BACK!! A beautiful fresh undone look with the happiness glow on her face. Hair in place ( on her beautiful shoulders), unfettered by fussy veils. Her beauty is shining through

  12. I’m so done with Sabyas AJs and various “hues” of ivory on the splendid couple. Someone please color them already… and I’m not talking the MM blingy kind. Just some nice colors and non branded clothes would be nice

  13. But yaar they HAVE done color. They wore red and pink at their North Indian wedding. They again wore red and pink at their first airport appearance. They did neons and florals at the crazy party. During the day appearances they mostly prefer pastels and I think that’s fine. And maybe she wants to let the chooda be the highlight. But definitely loving the relaxed hairstyle though. Phew.

  14. Considering this outing was for a visit to the temple and the outfits seem appropriate and elegant. However given how gorgeous Deepika was looking during her wedding she should really don more vibrant colours for the rest of the festivities!!

  15. …the never ending saga. Now even I feel, their PR need too take it easy. Alsoondering how much money they have made! There are Ambani’s n from Bollywood, these two. As for outfits, now bored. So many events/outings but no colours..no variety..all mundane. They are celebrities so comparison is inevitable. There was variety in Anushka’s three major looks. Sonam too opted for variety. Let’s see what we get to see on their round of reception.

  16. The issue with all of the wedding “looks” is that you can’t get a sense for the real Deepika in what is probably a very personal event. She comes across as someone really easy going and down to earth and the head to toe aanya, heavy jewellary and curated airport matches looks makes it look like yet another movie promotion.

The mehendi outfit and the simple jewellary was the only one that stood out.

Otherwise she seems trapped in a fake celebrity world of her own creation.

  17. Deepika should try some outfits from Anita Dongre too:) some other labels post wedding. Looks they have taken Sabya’s contract :) all beiges.. you are newly wed couple sh eis so pretty she should wear some nice linen sarees or some nice colourful suits. Enough of these Sabya’s boring colour outfits.
