In Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla

At the Ambani Piramal wedding, Ranveer opted for a white kurta suit and Deepika wore an ivory sari by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla with a full-sleeve red blouse. Considering she did white on white at the reception, I guess she was going for something different here but I found the look the contrast a bit jarring. I wish the blouse was a short sleeve one for a more balanced look and the hair, less severe.

She sure looked amazing at the sangeet in the red Fabiiana this past weekend.

  1. Love the jamdani weave minus the gold border. The severe hair is repetitive but it looks good here. She looks beautiful and I absolutely loved the red outfit but a small design house has accused Fabiiana of stealing their designs.

  2. Both look great.

I think she is wearing the color combo that would conpliment the choodas. Her outfits (dressed up or down) since her wedding have been either in shades of red or cream/gold/ivory. I guess any other color would clash with the color of the choodas. Not that it matters but some women are quite nit picky that way.

  3. Couldn’t agree more with the author about the looks.
Okay also, every saree isn’t meant to have this train like pallu… it looks silly
It worked for the red and she looks hot

  4. She looks soo good in the red,its definetely her color and the styling and makeup are on point. I dont mid the saree and blouse too much but if she had skipped the big earrings and opted for a different hairdo this could’ve worked wonders.

  5. She looks fabulous. As someone commented above, the hair actually suits this and doesn’t look very chipkoo..maybe it is because of the side parting.
I love the combination, white and red is a very royal combo and matches the chooda. The blouse actually looks short sleeved because the rest is full of gold anyway. Extremely good looking couple!

  6. Sigh – back to offwhite, chipkoo hair, massive earrings and floor sweeping pallu. She could so much more than sticking to this boring look. The red sari is a refreshing change of colour but don’t know why she has to have the pallu trailing the floor every time.

  7. I feel like I’ve seen her do this look a million times. Nothing new or exciting. The red looks great. Deepika needs to change her game when it comes to Indian looks.

  8. I really like her red look…Red is definitely her colour. Winged eyes and pouffed up hair is also very complementary to her features and IMO she looks best with this hairstyle. The white and red look is nice too but looks repetitive, something she has done a million times, guess we are still jaded from her wedding looks.

  9. Looks like Deepika running short of colours, going for whites and beiges. Why cant she try some nice blue or some other colours.. I loved Navya’s Nanda’s saree. She was so sweet. revived here Grandma Saree. Awwww. I Loved her blouse too.
