In Manish Malhotra

Another day, another Manish Malhotra sari. The sari itself isn’t my thing but can’t deny the fact that Rani looks lovely in it.

  1. This is what she works best and I hope she sticks with it. Something about Rani in a sari beats most of the other Bollywood girls be it Kat or PC or Kareena or whomever-they may be more fit-toned then her but she carries the sari the best. This also might be due in part to the fact that she usually wears it the way it is supposed to be worn.

    • I don’t like the draping of the saree with one boob showing. That is not how the saree is supposed to be worn. Barring that, she looks fab.

      • I agree. I think I gave her the brownie points here simply because the blouse is a blouse and not some skimpy thing with hardly any cloth to cover the body. At closer look I agree-I wish she had draped it properly as it would’ve perfected the look. But a heads up to her for not going down that bikini/practically non-existent blouse look.

  2. She looks so radiant and beautiful in that sari. Mini dresses are not for ever and neither are saris. PC, Katrina etc can never look as good in saris as Rani ( that doesn’t mean they look good in other things either…atleast not most of the times)

  3. She looks really nice but you know what’s the most surprising thing??… out of all the MM saris seen recently, this one is actually not that bad! Lets only hope it gets better, tired of seeing long sheets of fabric with ribbon borders stuck on!

  4. Getting sick of the bollywood ladies, their translucent sarees and their One Boob In One Boob Out draping. Somebody please tell them sarees can look sexy even when draped the right way.

    • I am sort of getting used to it, and becoming numb about it, as though it’s what celebs wear to stand out from the crowd of ordinary people, which I think actually borerlines vulgarity. I personally wouldn’t wear a translucent sari and if I did, I would fold the pallu in pleats. I guess it’s about comfort level and different perspectives.

  5. She looks pretty. But, I do not see the need to drape the saree the way she did. Neither is the blouse embellished, neither is she wearing a neckpiece that needs to be shown…So I believe she could have gone the traditional route and looked even better. I like her earrings. They may not look very costly, but she sure looks good in huge earrings.

  6. She looks great. I think she’s looked so great in a lot of her recent appearances. I know a lot of people don’t like her appearances when she’s wearing western clothes but I do think that’s people’s own comfort level.. they’re not used to seeing her in that way and it doesn’t fit the pretty little box they like Rani Mukherjee to fit in in their imaginations.

  7. HOT!! I am loving the saree, she looks really statuesque in it, which is hard for shorties like me and her to pull off!! I adore those earings, where can I find a similar pair in the UK?

  8. I really like the sari. And am not a huge MM fan. With a different blouse, it would have been so much better. The red is too bright, and the shiny fabric is not good.
