While grabbing lunch with a friend on Sunday, Rani was spotted wearing a white dress with black thigh-high boots, her Anya Hindmarch crossbody. Anyone else think a nice knee-length jacket would’ve tied this look together perfectly. It just felt incomplete without one.

There is definitely something amiss with the look. Maybe a trench or a jacket could have pulled it together. A white summery dress just looks wrong with knee high boots. It’s like her upper half is in a different climate zone from her lower half.
Like the easy non styled look.. non made up, undone. She rewears the bag n very often, I love thigh highs. N yeah that’s just like any other phone cover.. be it DG.
Ballet flats or even kolhapuri chappals would have worked with this dress. Who wears thigh high boots in Mumbai???

She wanted to try a mini dress but not gutsy enuff so covered the lower half with those boots :D And it ended up looking so odd.
Why boots with a shirt and sleevless dress? I though boots are for a cold season like winter or snow or something like that.
Her hair is so flat and blah– every time I cut my hair I regret it and miss my long hair. But then my hair grows long and starts to resemble Rani’s here- no character, and I get it cut again. Come on Rani– a new hairstyle would do wonders!

back in south india, aroung 25 years back, this is what you could catch me wearing in my neighbourhood. It was/is still called a shimmy and worn as an inner inside one’s uniform/frock. This reminds me of the 7/8 year old me. :p
Call it whatever, to me this is a shimmy! And that’s exactly why i fail to understand fashion.

No…. all wrong. Actually all she needs to do is lose the boots. Just some pretty flats or slip on sneakers would have worked. The boots are doing too much.

I don’t think Rani can carry off thigh-high boots, very few people can. Also, she needs a belt, not a jacket in my opinion.
