The evening reception saw Rani yet again in another Sabyasachi lehenga, this one being predominantly gold. Hair worn down middle-parted, she finished out her look with a lipstick that picked up on the border of the lehenga and ruby and gold jhumkis.
Considering it was a sangeet cum reception, part of me doesn’t mind the glammed up avatar. But, I wish she’d worn the dupatta better though. Again.

Being not tall I’m sure it would be a struggle to carry legenga dupatta with Grace while not looking dowdy…so I don’t blame the dupatta draping….the only thing I mind a lil here would be the blouse….cuz it is coming off as trying too hard….it could be a simple round neck….that would’ve elevated the look imo…..otherwise loving the gold and maroon color palette!

Exactly right. This should be filed under what NOT to wear to any wedding event in order to not upstage the bride. Take a leaf out of the Kangana book for most appropriately dressed guest.
What’s wrong with Rani? Where is that simple Rani ? She hasn’t dress like this even in her 30s then why now????

Sorry but this just looks tacky.
The blouse looks uncomfortably tight. And the make up is definitely bad…. wish she had rocked a great Sabya saree.
If the duppatta were draped differently, with that ‘peek-a-boo’ (which is pretty sexy might I add) coverage she would have nailed this look. Nevertheless, she looks pretty.

Seems like Sabya took wrong measurements and it was too late to pick another outfit. Only explanation of both her Sabya outfits.

Doesnt matter if its Sabya, MM or AJSK . Here is a classic example of it has nothing to do with designers or designs but the person wearing it. She looks ridiculous with all this trying hardness with deep neck tight suffocating choli and loud makeup. And agree with the other poster, she looks like Rakhi Sawant. Lol.
