White Out!

Both of these ladies chose to go the white sari route while at the premiere of the film ‘The Japanese Wife’ and as lovely as both of these ladies looked, I have to say I love Konkona’s look just a tad bit more. The sari is right up my alley! :)

  1. Konkona looks DIVINE! That color brings out her skin tone in the best way. This has to be the best outfit I have ever seen on her!

  2. Konkana’s sari is better largely because I am just so tired of the ‘work’ saris.

But she really needed to wear a necklace… her sari’s border was not rich

‘bare’ neck and ‘bare’ hand on a sari would get my grandma’s goat.

  3. Konkona looks GORGEOUS! Her features are really sublime. She’s the kind of woman who would look smashing on a magazine cover. Hear me, Vogue? =)
I like the simplicity of the sari and how she’s kept the blouse silhouette simple.

  4. Konkona’s saree is beautiful. But she has not capitalized the look. I think she is ambivalent in dressing up. Some outfits lend themselves to the ambivalence. However, this saree should have involved some gussying up. It could have had some antique gold necklace or earrings, and hair that was not so messy. The other girl raima is a nonissue..not worth talking about her look.

  5. I do like Ms. Sen’s sari…it is so much organic that the other one…is that cotton or a Kota masuria sari??? I just wish the ‘pallu’ was a tad longer :(

  6. I also love Konkona’s saree(is much better than Raima’s) but she has not tied it very well, the pleasts should be more gathered. Raima gets my vote

  7. i just wish konkona had worn brocade blouse in a bright color to offset the white. it’s just too much white right now. although, the sari is lovely.

  8. Both ladies look lovely although Raima seems to have draped it a tad better. Like Konkana’s better because she seems so non-filmy and down to earth. Love her as an actress – she translates that same same down to earth quality into her movies.

  9. It’s interesting how Raima and her sister Riya are so vastly different in their style. Hmmm.
Of course, both lovely ladies here look great.
