Priyanka attended Akash and Shloka’s pre-engagement party wearing a red Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla sari featuring a silver gota patti border. The deal breaker for me here was not the sari but the blouse. A cap sleeve blouse would’ve made a world of a difference.
As is though, she looked like she had just exited after filming for a movie song.

I don’t find the blouse a deal breaker at all! The sari is simple and perfect for a guest, unlike most guests attending celeb events these days where you can’t distinguish between the bride and the guests. I love the color against her radiant skin tone!
This is the most basic sari ever. Did Nick jonas pick it out?

Ok I am trying to understand. There was a party when they announced their engagement(Shloka wore Parada gown), there was a pre pre engagement party yesterday (Priyanka wore silver tarun tehlani saree) and today is pre engagement party. Now I am guessing there will be engagement party…oh boy this is one long wedding..

LOL. I was thinking the same. It all started with a party to announce the proposal ( pre pre engagement). Dont forget that there was a mehandi party also before the pre engagement.Seems like they will keep coming up with any reason to throw a bash. They have too much time and money!
Priyanka looks nice but I dont find anything exciting about her sari.
Before the Prada, there was a party in Goa where the bride was in Needle and Thread. #bash-pe-bash-pe-bash. They can have a competition – “kitne bashes they”?
And before all of that there was the proposal itself. Heard the wedding in December will be 5 days too…uff.

I also thought that that might be exactly why PC brought him .. as a litmus test for him and their relationship ;) If he still decides to stick around after all the hungama that must have happened in this wedding gala and the Chopras’ Goa vacay, then he is definitely the one!! :D

She looks good though…and I’m kinda glad it’s a relatively simple saree because we’re about to see some major OTT outfits.

You’re right Payal, this took me straight to Bollywood of the 90s. Where the female lead is dressed like how Priyanka is in minus-something weather and the male is all nicely bundled up in bright sweaters.
But ooh that Nick Jonas.
1. Blouse is hideous.
2. Nothing designer about the saree.
3. As you said, this saree looks like an item song costume.
The blouse lends it a tacky look… and the lip shade could have been softer. The TT she wore for mehendi was so much better

I disagree with you here, P&P. If you’ve noticed, cap sleeves make Priyanka’s arms look bulky somehow- one of the reasons she looks stuffy in most of her saree appearances. This kind of blouse works perfectly for her, making her look slimmer overall.

This is one of the worst saree looks of recent times. Straight out of a 90s movie. And the makeup is adding to her woes. Not working one bit for me.

This is a definite miss for Priyanka. Looks hastily put. Nothing novel about the saree. To be forgotten.
Actually I like it, there seems to be a preference for traditions, typical blouses, but this looks nice and glamorous, she looks better than the heavily overdressed bride to be, Isha and Dia(the posts that I have scrolled through so far)
