More pics were shared by the newly weds on social media that revealed what they wore to their two weddings. For the Hindu wedding, it was Sabyasachi for both and for the Christian wedding, it was Ralph Lauren.

Our congratulations to the newly weds.

  1. Oh my heart! Just saw the video of their Christian wedding, pure love. Good wishes to the couple. Loved it that she is not white washed and sticked to her original skin tone.

  2. I like her in the Sabya. I’m sure it’s very expensive but there is a simplicity to it which is nice. Also very impressed with the way Nick has carried off all his desi outfits. Don’t really care about the Ralph Lauren… it might be the make up or the hair. But did you catch the trail? I think it outdid all princesses – combined!

  3. The wedding gown reminds me (on the upper half) of the Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen dress from Kate Middleton’s wedding while the in the case of the lower half, the visual effect of the silhouette is a bit unflattering. The Sabyascahi lehenga is standard-fare. The only pet peeve I have is with Jonas’ gold shoes. Traditional Indian jootis/sandals would have looked better. Those gold blobs (Christian Louboutin I believe) are distracting.

  4. If I had to pick one I’d pick the sabya. It’s different from what the Bollywood brides have been wearing but I’m not totally wooooooeeeeddddd by it. The Ralph Lauren is such a downer. Don’t like the gown and the hair.

    • Glad to have found this comment. Exactly my thoughts. None of the looks are striking to me. Felt she played safe with her outfit choices. Her hollywood red carpet looks have been more stunning

  5. Stunning! The Ralph Lauren gown is absolute love. Like someone said, she manages to retain simplicity even in the heaviest of designer wear.

    • So true. The outfit is simple and enhances her beauty without overshadowing it. As a rich celebrity, it is probably tempting to pile on gazillions of the heaviest duty jewelers and richest of fabrics but her restraint has elevated this to another level.

      • Well then simply imagine the same 75 foot train with embroidery and diamante sequins and pearls all over it…that’s the kind of bling I meant. Also I was referring more to the Sabya look.

  6. Her Indian lehenga is not exceptional but the whole look with the emphasis on the jewelery is flawless and very feminine. it is not overwhelming her. Loved it.

  7. Something is missing in both looks. I’m not sure if it’s the lacklustre hair or the unflattering silhouettes.

Also, both looks seem old fashion/outdated :(

    • I agree! I somehow expected PC to do much better in terms of her wedding attire. These clothes do nothing for her and the styling didn’t help either.
It’s a cheap looking (the material) Sabya and the accessories look white in the pics?! The RL wedding dress is so 90s and daytime tv showish. The pouf of the veil above the hair is ridiculous and so is the silhouette of the dress.
I know I’m in the minority here. Don’t come at me :P

  8. Didn’t like the neck of the Ralph Lauren but she looks good in both that and the Sabyasachi. What I really liked about Priyanka is she wore all the clothes the way she wanted to, even the green saree, even though she didn’t look all that nice in it. She didn’t let the designer or the stylist take over with their aesthetics in any outfit. Nothing was over stylised.

  9. The Ralph Lauren looks a bit odd waist down. It is difficult to unsee that. But I suspect it may have looked much better in person as compared to the picture.

  10. I think Sabya has many other marvellous creations to opt from – don’t know why he would suggest this. The maang tikka didn’t look great to me either, felt quite cheap looking.
I read somewhere Ralph Lauren has only had made wedding dresses on 3 occasions before – well it really shows. That dress is a confused child of Kate Middleton and Kim Kardashian. Would have preferred either a fitted silhouette or a flared one, just not both. And the length of the dress compared to a humongous veil is too short.
But I have to ask – what is with the atrocious hair?on both occasions. That high bun with pieces of hair in the front makes me think she’s was dressed for another occasion and just slipped into the bridal outfit.

  11. Also, I’m very surprised she too chose Sabyasachi, she usually doesn’t wear his designs. Manish Malhotra must be sobbing right now! I was pretty sure the wedding lehenga would be an MM! Ah well!

    • Haahahhahahaha

It’s a pretty bad season for Manish Malhotra. None of the high profile brides picked him for their D-day and unlike Anushka & Virat’s reception he couldn’t hijack Deepveer’s reception by dressing everyone in his clothes. I hope they ditch on Priyanka’s reception too.

    • Yes very surprised (and glad) she didn’t opt for a MM lehenga considering shimmer and shine is her asthetic but we still have the Mumbai reception to go.

  13. The Ralph Lauren gown is beautiful and she looks gorgeous. The lehenga is definitely not the typical Sabyasachi but gosh it’s gorgeous. I love that shade of red. She reminds me of little Indian dolls for some reason…sp pretty! Not to ignore Nick; he looks pretty darn good too.

  14. Love the red lehenga, even if it is ornate and glam – it still is simple and looks elegant. The RL gown is stunning too … not one of my faves but she looks great. Congratulations to the couple.

  15. The red is stunning. Nothing clashes. Her own self is in perfect view. The white with its sweetheart neclike made famous by Kate Middleton and the abominable tendrils by Meghan Markle makes it hardly memorable.

What stankds out for me is how her personality shows in all footage and images, her laughter and her face aglow with hope and love put a shine to everything. Her groom compliments her in every way & none of it feels contrived or cheesy even though it must have taken months of meticulous planning. Nothing can overwhelm or outdo natural emotion and panache.
In comparison (hate to but still), Deepika-Ranveer wedding turned out to be cliched and choreographed to a point that everything looked the same. Ranveer stole rest of her thunder in an effort to match her or outmatch her!!

    • So deepikas laughter in pics is cheesy and not natural emotion but pc laughing in all the photos is love shining through and personality ? This is absurd.
How is PC’s wedding not choreographed and cliche? They had a huge palace wedding, a cheesy as ever logo for their wedding that went on everything from the suitcases to the stages in front of which they stood. Then there is the biggest cliche of all, the veil; there’s a humongous train and to top it all off she said – like “every girl” she too wants to be a princess for her wedding. Enough said.
Her Sangeet was certainly choreographed and was performed in a concert style stage. Her photos definitely posed for and sold to a magazine.
And what does not looking overly stylized even mean? Everything she wore was designer clothes picked out by her stylists and then she just wore them. No family heirlooms or passed down things.

      • PC’s was clearly a choreographed publicised event with pictures sold off to People and the like. The palace was cliche India and modern princess. Despite that if some moments seem genuine people notice.

DP’s wedding initially seemed personal and low key. But increasingly it became some weird territory between private (which was good) and public posturing that was not polished at all but awkward looking with a I am famous and rich vibe. Therefore the comments. Just my feeling.

These beiges and creams are awful on everyone goras and desis alike.

        • The private parts of DP’s wedding were kept more or less private. There were no photos or videos released that gave an idea of what other people were doing there or what went down in their functions. And that’s all they wanted us to see. So even if people had fun or there were genuine moments – we weren’t invited to have a look. As for the photos of the bride and groom they all look equally “candid”, in love and happy to me. Yes DP’s were only official photos and heavily edited ones at that, and yes they might resemble a magazine spread – but that speaks nothing about the amount of fun they actually had or how genuine their enjoyment looks. We can only speculate.

          • Private is fine no one is commenting on it but the public releases made them seem uncool as someone said. Priyanak’s was obviously going to be a bash but they knew what to put out in the public.

I don’t know about fun etc they are all actors and used to putting out a public image so I don’t think one can say anything about celeb weddings from photographs. It’s like a film and more about if you enjoyed what they put out for the public.

            • All of the celebrity couples publicly released their wedding pictures. What’s uncool with DP-RS’s pictures? One still doesn’t know what Deepika wore for her mehendi, no full length shots of her wedding outfits. Even with so many pictures, the couple didn’t reveal a lot. The reception pictures were staged and idk what’s the problem with that! The amount of hate DP-RS got on their wedding posts just showed that it wasn’t the usual fashio readers of HHC that made those comments.

      • Oh you said it! I believe what stood out in all of Deepika’s pics wedding, airport, receptions et al, no matter what clothes, hair, make-up, was that the genuine happiness was evident in each pic and that sometimes was the only redeeming factor. I am not saying PC’s is not but cannot agree on the Deepika’s photos looking staged part!

      • LOL I agree. These comments are hilarious. Priyanka’s wedding where the pics were sold to People magazine for $2.5m (making it one of the monetised weddings ever) with a 75ft train and massive fireworks (that she made campaigns opposing at Diwali) is ‘genuine’ whereas Deepika wedding is choreographed because she was overly styled by Sabyasachi. For god’s sake.

I agree that Deepika’s reception looks WERE overly styled but her wedding itself seemed absolutely beautiful and they seemed so happy with only close people around. Priyanka has been doing the curated thing for so long now (even just in terms of her personality) that I think people have gotten used to it and are unable to notice it any longer. She really is a great actress.

          • Dp’s wedding outfits were anything but blingy except her red Zuhair Murad gown. She wore amazing Kanjeevarams for some of her functions and a matka silk lehenga for her Sindhi wedding. Blingy is PC’s Falguni and Shane peacock (And she looked absolutely lovely in it!). Dp’s most controversial outfit and look from the wedding was the Frida Kahlo outfit she chose for some party. And that too for her husband. I know its an unpopular opinion but Deepika looked better in that Frida Kahlo look than the AJSK one. They kind of ruined that beautiful chikankari lehenga with the excessive gold border. Most people are calling it overly styled because the pictures the couple released for the receptions weren’t the happy, dancing and singing candids but potraits. I frankly don’t see the problem with that too.

      • Well the DeepikaVeer wedding was so much of the same old same old cookie-cutter model looks that it simply didnt come across as natural. At least PC dared to try different looks, hairstyles and seemed to be having a blast. The veil may have been there for the drama (and it def didnt work) but so was the writing on Deepika’s veil. All looks are curated even for a normal let alone a Bollywood bling-fest, but the balance is to make them look less contrived and cliched!

Really don’t like the Ralph Lauren though. Someone else said it is Kate Middleton meets Kim Kardashian and that is the perfect description.

    • Right exactly — who on earth wears a sheer *wedding* dress in 2018? Sheer was ‘on trend’ back in 2015/6 and even if it were on trend it’d look tacky af. Also, that train is definitely weird. It *is* a princess fantasy dress, but only if the princess had time travelled in from 1981 and was an 18-year-old ingenue, not a successful 37-year-old woman in her prime wrt career and personal life.

  18. Hate the Ralph Lauren. Granted he is not a wedding designer but he has designed quite a few flawless red carpet looks that are white and could could most definitely pass of as bridal. I was really hoping the wedding gown would follow those lines and be chic and elegant.

I don’t mind the long veil on her though as the drama of the veil distracts us from the catastrophe that is the silhouette from the waist down.

In the Sabyasachi..I like that the focus is on the jewels but it would have worked a lot better had the lehenga not been so sparkly. Shaira Nanwani did this look a lot better at her wedding years ago. An all red lehenga with a focus on the necklace.

  21. I love the red lehenga by Sabyasachi. It has such delicate emberoidery just like Anushka’s pink wedding lehenga. It’s for this exact reason I didn’t appreciate Sonam and Deepika’s wedding lehengas. The emberoidery and motifs were too large and glaringly placed all over the set.
The RL bridal gown would have worked better without a veil coz the silhouette is very comtemprary and the veil just seems excessive for it.

I really love and appreciate that you guys never leave any critical comments or judgement of any kind on on peoples wedding outfit choice. That is very sensitive and super sweet. Have noticed this for a long long time but just wanted to applaud you guys on the great ethics maintained. Kudos!!!

  23. The Sabyasachi lehengha is nice but nothing extraordinary, I saw other pics of the outfit and it didn’t really impress me . I also feel she made it look too bollywoodish with the belt and way too much jewellery . Again her make up wasn’t nice , needed more drama around the eyes . Overall not the best look from Sabya , I preferred Deepika and Anushka’s outfits
