  1. I know people complain about he being repetitive. But got to agree..these are timeless pieces. And he shows the difference between designers and tailors :).

  2. All these pieces are heading to vidya’s house ..right after this show..straight from run way….and let me make a guess ..she will prolly pick the last outfit from first row among her first pick out of this collection :P m gonna treat myself IF i get this right :P;)

  3. Row1, second outfit seems like it’s calling out for Sonam. Row2, first one is more of a Kangna. Row4, second piece has DP written all over it. :P

PS: As long as Vidya Balan doesn’t show up in the first & the third outfit in row 1, all is well. :P

  4. These are gorgeous pieces! Just look at the intricate work. I have been very bored by Sabya spottings lately (do we have to say Vidya), as they all look the same, but on the ramp, he brings out all the drama.

On an aside, how timeless is Nayanika/ Noyonika? Stunning!

  5. I’m going to throw in Sridevi into the mix. Considering she walked this show for him last year, I’m guessing she might be one of the first to wear one of the pieces.

  6. Row 2 – It reminds me of the lines from the movie The Sound of Music.

Maria: “I made them, from the drapes that used to hang in my bedroom!”

  7. Floral pants for men with floral sherwani … I think we need a new crop of menswear designers .. The current ones except for Raghavendra Rathore should be boycotted for creating a men’s line until they make some effort in designing and creating it.

  8. Not feeling the toile print in row 2, especially for men’s wear, but it’s a nice collection. Don’t blame Vidya, Rani, SriDevi for being shortlisted because I don’t mind owning one of the pieces !

  9. third row – i love each piece. this is for people like me – who dont like jhatak matak but also dont want to be wall flowers.

agree with somebody above who said that Sabya really shows the difference between darzi made and designer made. each piece is designer quality.

  10. I’m sorry, but how is this Couture Week any different from Amby Valley Bridal Week or Jhumri Talaiya Bridal week or whatever week happened last week? I see the same overdone, overblown lehengas, anarkalis, sherwanis and turbans in this one that I’ve seen in every Fashion Show till now. Maybe I like better the idea of Couture being the exquisite cut and tailoring of a Ralph Rucci or a vintage Dior, and not the contents of the sequin storeroom being thrown at the clothes. Colour me bored to tears with this one.

  11. I might be the first one to wear this collection (Tonite, in my dreams where I can afford it). And then i can even sport the men’s line and that printed Pagh that I LOOOOVE.

um… on the random, have you thought about featuring Satinder Sartaaj on your blog? He’s quite a dresser with a unique style… Punjabi Singer & Poet.

  12. I find the color palette to be refreshing (and perfect for some summer opulence), and I really appreciate that he brought so much drama and shimmer to the pieces without doing the usual, tacky embroidery that many other designers have come to use.

  13. Like the drama in the collection – some of the pieces can be worn as seperate and have a great potential too… liking his collection

  14. I can visualize a lot of gorgeous ladies in these outfits But i think Sonam Deepika Neha Ilena Diya n Malika would rock it but surely it will be Vidya Rani or Sridevi who will be wearing these elegant outfits So classic pieces totally lustworthy
