    • Totally agree.. I dont know why these designers put such designs on the guys and it totally makes them look like little girls trying to manage a saree.

  1. That explains the layering! Sure…for a winter wedding! The exaggerated shoulders are wonderful and attempt to give some shape beyond the layers!

  2. Except the lehenga on Tabu, i don’t see any celeb or non celeb wearing any of those. And why does Tabu look like a 60 year old lady? o_O

  3. These anarkali kurta for men should be banned .. They just don’t look good or wearable. . Even the bridal week had these. . Which groom would wear these to his own wedding?

    • If the groom wore something like this, I would drag the bride away from the mandap and ask her to reconsider!!

I wish Tabu didn’t look so sour and spoil the otherwise nice look.

  4. oh i feel a rant coming on.

WHAT THE HECK IS UP WITH PUTTING MEN IN RIDICULOUS CLOTHES LIKE THESE? FIRST ROHIT BAL AND NOW ANJU MODI. LISTEN TO ME WHEN I SAY THIS – MEN IN ANARKALIS LOOK DUMB. STOP.

  5. I like it! These designs are very innovative, as they take away the gender roles in what men and females are supposed to wear. Sure, it looks a bit funny as people aren’t used to it, but why is that? It is because ever since we were young, we have been trained: “Men are supposed to look like this and women are supposed to look like that.” Fashion is about pushing the envelope and fresh ideas without borders, so I think people should embrace it instead of saying something looks dumb because what society has told them is manly or womanly.

    • i am a great supporter of men in lungis. he men in my family all wear them. i have no problem with what men are or are not supposed to look like. my problem is with anarkalis (and i hope you will allow me to have opinions). they look stupid on women and positively dumb on men.

      • That’s what I mean though, you don’t care about lungis because you have grown up seeing men in your family wear them. However, in some one else’s eyes, lungis on men might look “dumb.” It’s all very relative. And of course, every one has different opinions, that is why this site is so fun :) But I can see where you are coming from, since you do not like anarkalis at all– on males or females.

  6. Agree re fashion pushing envelope. And I am sure some men can wear even these designs with confidence. But the colors and patterns on 1st &3rd!!! And the sleeve of the4th!! Hate!!

  7. Tabu needs some color on her lips other that. love Tabu. This collection however the men’s wear looks so much more stunning than the womens. Would love to own a few of those men’s jackets.
