In Zara

For an appearance promoting her upcoming movie, Parineeti picked a Zara faux-leather pencil skirt, one which she paired with a basic white tank and pewter ankle-strap sandals, also Zara. Quite the change of pace for the actor! You approve?

  1. I hate this. I feel like she’s trying to copy Deepika here. Parineeti needs to stop trying to dress like a hot siren and stay original. Her lack of smiling only makes everything worse.

  2. Awkward. This is an edgy look that would look good on Priyanka / Nargis.. on Parineeti.. it just looks too try-hard. Faux leather she is not. The silhoutte suits her, but those shoes are giving her ankles. Why is it so hard to dress for your body type when you have all the money, assistants at your disposal?

    • Not every look needs to be edgy, fashion forward and vouge-worthy… A girl can dress just to be sexy….. it doen’t mean she is trying too hard… She is just comfortable in her own skin… Your post reeks of contempt towards curvy girls….. she looks super sexy here….more than any of the other stick-thin models/actresses will every look… beauty is in the eye of the beholder.. her belly pooch might offend your senses… to me it only adds to her womanly figure and grace… Many men would do everything in their power to be with a hot girl like her as opposed to a runway skeletons..

People like you are contributing to the vicious cycle of body consciousness, low self esteem, eating disorders etc…

If a slightly curvy girl is subject to so much criticism, there is no hope for the chubby little girls out there to be accepted into the society as they are and to be able to dress and socialize without criticism that could hurt their very core..

      • I agree to everything you say And being curvy myself I understand parineeti’s challenges with finding the right outfit. However this is a bad look. It does not suit her. Neha dhupia, Sophie are not skinny but they dress so well and according to their body type. The same attire with a white shirt and a better fitted skirt would have looked so elegant and chic. This comes across as a desperate attempt to look sexy and such an attempt does not suit anyone.

      • Ok there was nothing vicious in Niche’s comment. She just mentioned that the outfit does not suit her body type. Period. You are, on the other hand, in an attack mode. In your own words beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. So please let her state what she finds appealing and what not. I personally like skeletal skinny more than curvy and you seem to find curvy hot and that is perfectly acceptable. You don’t find anyone taking offense at your earlier comment “Super hot in a way that only curvy girls can be”. Let’s all have a say and be happy with our choices

      • It is obvious to everyone reading HHC that Parineeti has been trying hard to fit into “bollywood”. It is quite laughable that after the “my body, my rules” on some magazine cover she started appearing more with the “blown colored hair, tight, clothes cookie cutter “looks. I don’t find any visciousness in Niche’s comment. It seems like you are getting hurt for no reason and talking about Parineeti’s tummy-paunch because you think that is what it is about. lol. What Niche said was right about she having enough money and stylist s available to be able to afford some body type appropriate clothes without ending up looking idiotic. Because Curvy is not mainstream does not mean you have to go about screaming aloud that curvy is the best or hot. That seems pretty stupid.

      • My comment on Pari’s outfit de jour was not out of viciousness. I’m a curvy, bottom heavy girl myself and it took me some years to realize what looks good on me and what should be just left at the rack, as much as I wanted it. Like I said, pencil skirts suit curvy women, but not when you’re squeezing into 2 sizes small. Look at Kim Kardashian (eek) but she of extreme hourglass shape, wears everything 2 sizes small — and it still doesn’t suit her. Just dress what suits your body type — that’s all I’m sayin!! No offence to girl with bass :)

        • I am a straight guy, and Parineeti looks like a bombshell here to me. Minus the odd hair, she looks like a healthy woman with great curves. I think your issue could be because faux-leather does not photograph that well.
I do agree that lately she comes across as trying to be someone she is not. And that is a whole different issue…

  3. Recently (after the now infamous period question incident) I became a fan of Parineeti’s wit and sassy attitude. The woman does not fool around when it comes to words and she knows how to take a stand. Later on she should try something more than Bollywood because she is clearly capable. As for this look, it’s obviously HOT!

  4. She looks good in prototype Bollywood hot way. I wish the hair and make up were a little more relaxed and while I nitpick,I wish boho sort of a blouse to lift this look a bit more.

  5. This isn’t working for Parineeti but I commend her for trying new things. It’s the hair colour that I have a major problem with. It ages her and makes her look like a Doobai NRI aunty.

  6. If this is considered ‘hot’ by some people, I clearly dont know what hot means :) To me, this just looks extremely un-classy and bordering cheap. It doesnt suit Parineeti.
Just wondering how much did they photoshop her on the cover of Womens Health?! Atrocious.
