HDIL Couture Week: Pallavi Jaikishen
Pallavi Jaikishen is back on the ramp after a good ole decade. She presented a collection that had a lot of velvet, a lot of florals on lehengas, sarees and wedding outfits.
The theme was a garden party which is why you see the models sitting around and chatting up with each other!
Will post more pics, of course!

Love love love the collection! waiting for more…
cute idea
blingy, but cute becasue of the models
love the presentation… blingy, but nice
LOVE it !! LOVE it !! LOVE it !!
quite a refreshing change from other designers !
does anyone know where does Pallavi retail in Bangalore or Delhi ??
very KITSCH !!………………………..LOVE IT !
But I think diamond jewellery is quite mismatched with the designs .
These lehengas/Saris DO NOT need any jewellery with them .
once again ….love it ! … Kitsch !!!!!
Uhhh…Gaudy!!
Love the garden party theme!!! The dresses are pretty but way too much work on ’em. The jewellery is gorgeous!! I love the guy in white wig in the background – such a quirky detail. =)
Reminds me of Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham :)
I love the blouse in the first pic!
nice concept but gaudy clothes , they look all nice and vibrant here but when someone wears it in real life its gonna look very old city-ish
Looks like costumes from an elite village drama. I find her designs totally vulgar and OTT.
Too much BLING on the clothes. Reminds me of the Ramleela costumes in my grandfather’s village.
I like the garden party theme though.
lol.. ramleela costumes..
too garish..
its very garish…why so much boobs?!!
love the teaparty them..not loving the clothes..
sheetal malhar stil models?
Very gaudy but very fresh from everything else one sees these days. I really love the red saris with the thick floral border! And the yellow lehenga! Love it.
Agree with the ramleela comment. Also, the first saree reminds me of NRIs from Dubai. (the ones with the bad taste)
I HATE this collection…just too blingy and too gaudy for my taste!
sorry but i think that they all look like cartoons! Too much bling is not my thing ;)
i really like the 1st dress….i think i can wear it for my wedding at the reception (smaller neck)…
yes Sheetal still models, she does very selective shows, getting into photography now. The show was spectacular to say the least. …an ode to the Louis the 14th period in French history with an Indian twist…loved it…
the theme is intresting, the garments, are beautiful in themselves, the work is intricate and may look too ‘blingy’ right now but it is meant to be, for ramp appeal, and also, these garments are meant to be worn at weddings by the bride or close family, im sure she would want to stand out from the rest of the crowd on such an occassion
I love them for sure..
