the print is a lil bigger.. anyway how do u know if its fake or original from a photograph?
in any case.. i like the yellow one
the belt details are slightly off in the green one… is that what makes it suspect?
The sleeves are not the same either, and nodding with Veens, the yellow shines through and through!
fake or not the yellow one looks better, and the model being taller, does not get over powered by the print, as in she is wearing the garment, not the garment is wearing her.
i think it’s a imitation , it doesn’t look the same: the print, the sleeves, the belt
oooh… and love those gucci shoes.
i think its a copy… the details are different and not as well finished as the yellow one.
The fabric is differnt too.
although it’s not exactly the same as the one that has appeared on the runway, when buying things from gucci, some things can be altered to fit the clients needs/wants
It’s most definitely a fake! The yellow one has those pockets and little piece connecting to the back of the dress on the right side…
I like the yellow one…not so much the green one (real or fake)
its the fabric..i dont think gucci would ever do cheap rubber prints on cheap stretchy fabrics.. besides the belt is not even gucci..i have the same one in all black suede.

did u guys notice the model’s legs? don’t u think its photoshopped?? check out the space in between 2 legs, right below where dress ends.. and also the calf muscle of the leg on the right… wonder why do they need to photoshop those areas?????
The yellow one has printed fabric while the green one as OMG GASP printed RUBBER like most colleges’ tshirts in India! Definitely a fake.

i am surprised they create knock offs so fast in india. Its a bad one though. I love the original, esp the skirt part, it has a layer coming from the back or at least looks like it.
for a fake it is damn good!
the belt…the materail….sleeves…the cut of the dress…the green one is straight kinda n other one lil baggy kinds…
@apurva: Oh puh-leez! Then what are those shoddy, tacky canvas “Gucci loves NY” bags all about?
If you want quality, look for vintage Gucci scarves, bags and shoes (with the gorgeous Gucci horsebit design). It’s been pretty much downhill in recent years.
Oh, and those LV Murakamis are canvas as well. What a joke!
I think its real, but a modified version. Runway looks are often modified when put into the market. However I agree that the model’s version is better and she suits the dress better too.
thats definately a fake. not a bad copy though, i’ve seen alot worse!
If it’s a fake, I still prefer that version. It’s a nice shade of green.
@ Thalassa: Its not about the quality of her garment, we are trying to figure out if its a knock off Or NOT.. Even if design houses come out with canvas stuff.. it manages to look chic and NOT cheap. And the I LOVE NY bags you are talking about were quite a statement thanks to sarah jessica parker and NOT cheap.

I found this dress.
Was at Shopper’s Stop(mall in India) the other day and the EXACT green dress was there for Rs 1500. Which is like close to $33 i guess. So NO WAy is that one a gucci.
