In Céline

At the Hello! Awards held last month, Ms. Ambani picked Céline to attend the event in. Dark lips, uncut diamond jewelry and a monogrammed Leiber minaudiere completed her look.

It made for quite the change to see her do a look like this. While she wears the gown well, few minor tweaks would’ve made it better. Would’ve preferred to see studs instead of those earrings. And while the idea of the necklace works, wish she picked something that didn’t have a dangling pendant. The minimalist gown called for more restrained styling. But that just may be our personal call.

  1. I admire your restraint, but there’s just one word for this: TERRIBLE! terrible choice of designer, dress (Nita Ambani is NOT a minimalist person!), jewellery, make-up. On her this quietly stunning dress ends up looking like a long petticoat.

  2. I quite liked it on her. I think she looks classy.
I can’t imagine someone younger wearing this dress. Seems appropriate for her age.

  3. this gown would work the best on a tall and slender frame. the pleats on the sides are almost lost on nita. but i like the sleek hair and dark lips on her.

  4. It looks like a nightgown that fitting so wrong.
The red lips give it a Halloween aura.

I have no idea why you liked the look and didn’t call it WTHeyy

  5. OMG those are some serious diamonds! Lucky girl!
I find her eye makeup too strong but it’s nice to see her in something different. Now… Back to those diamonds….

  7. Looove the jewels, but not with that dress. The dress should have been tapered and shortened to just below the knees. The jewels would have probably worked then. Hair should have been tied into a chignon bun.

  8. Whatever she’s done to her face, it is not working. As for the dress, rather boring. A bit more color on older women always looks good.

  9. The colour works well on her, and I agree with Priyanka’s comment about stud earrings rather than the longer ones Mrs. Ambai wears here.

As an aside, that necklace could probably pay off my undergraduate education loans…and my post graduate education too. Oh my.

  10. I looked at this pic and thought something’s wrong. Problem is when I did realise what was wrong,I don’t know where to begin. The dress or her face…
