Wearing a Shantanu Nikhil gown, Neha attended the Miss India 2018 pageant on Tuesday evening finishing out the look with a Bottega Veneta knot clutch and jewellery from Roma Narsinghani.
She wore the gown well but I think she should’ve gone either/or on the earrings/necklace.

The dress looks like its meant to drown her figure in it and you’re right that it looks like she’s intentionally dressing this way for the past little while.

I like that you said I would have put the earrings at home, then it makes it your choice and aesthetic preference. Whenever I read indian fashion commentaries, it always feels as if there is no room for experimentation and also there is no place for aesthetic that are not norms like maximalism and loud approaches to fashion. They are tricky but depending on body type and inherent style some can carry it well. I personally would pick one of the jewellery here and so would most people but Neha here clearly doesn’t look overdone and carries it. And unless one is obsessed with fashion rules, it really doesn’t look too heavy or out of place. I would call it a good look and personalized to her taste.
True what you said about fashion norms. Neha carries most of her looks with panache. Doesn’t mean everyone can carry it off. According to me, fashion is ALL ABOUT the right fit and the way one carries oneself. I have seen the same outfit winning hearts on one person and taking a nosedive on another one. It is all about A.T.T.I.T.U.D.E.
