In Alexander McQueen

It was an Alexander McQueen dress for Natasha while at the Vogue Awards. Top-knot, diamond jewelry and ankle-strap sandals rounded out the look well.

This was the Natasha we were missing, one who wasn’t afraid to take some risks. Sure the dress isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but she owned her look.

  1. Wow!! Are you guys lenient on the Natashas and Shilpas or what.. Had this been worn by Bhumi or Huma, you guys would’ve filed it under WhatheHeyyy but these ladies sure get a pass on a whole lotta crap from you both.

    • That’s a bit harsh I think… It also comes down to how the person carries off the outfit; Bhumi especially looks tacky because of the poses, her pout, too much highlighter, etc. etc., and its clear that the clothes wear her, its not the other way round with her. One should know their style aesthetics to be able to carry off a trash bag as couture.
And Natasha Poonawala does that – her dress choices are always quirky. No mainstream actress (perhaps except Kangana Ranaut but even she doesn’t go to the extent that Natasha Poonawala does) chooses and wears the kind of clothes she does, even off-occasion or on an experimental basis. And that’s why it is nice/different/refreshing to see someone do it. I, for one, would love to have that kind of access to wardrobe choices!

And before anyone says, I am NOT connected to Natasha Poonawala or her team in any way, nor am I supporting P&P blindly. The above is just my take on it.

      • Rightly said trupsster. She is the only person in India who can carry off haute couture. Comparing her with bhoomi, richa, huma, swara types is a joke.

        • She’s good but at times excessive… even wrong timed for certain occasions. That’s possibly why she comes off as the odd one, trying much over nothing.

          • Her dressing is not for ordinary folks… celeb or not. She sometimes goes too far in her own excitement and experimentation, but she is in her own league.

  3. She and Alexander McQueen are a match made in heaven, no one in Indian fashion scene seems to do justice to Alexander McQueen, she understands his genius.

    • McQueen is dead. It’s a bunch of designers now, who are absolutely unable to translate his vision into cutting edge fashion, result in this pink mess.
