At The Races
Ms. Poonawala was having bit of a moment in her Roland Mouret crepe jumpsuit and Alexander McQueen plexi tortoiseshell bee choker and bee hat. Holy beejesus, she looked absolutely fantastic! Love that she took something so editorial (the hat) and wore it like it’s just another day at the Derby… She nailed it.
Well she almost nailed it. The fit on the bodice of her jumpsuit is just so, so off. Strike two Natasha, strike two!

The jumpsuit is lovely but that hat is seriously hideous. It reminds me of the barriers I have seen at the airports.
The armpit vagina actually looks like it. She is a skinny woman and i like the jumpsuit but I guess the fit could have been better.
Maybe I don’t understand high fashion but she looks like she escaped a lunatic asylum in her pajamas and a torture contraption she made for her head.
This doesn’t look like anything other than a crazy attempt to show off her money.
Oh holy lord! That’s one frickin’ hilarious & apt comment.
What’s wrong with highheelconfidential. ? Every time this girl walks out looking like a joker they love it??
her armpit “va*ina” is hideous.. She is so skinny, i wonder how she even has that or may be that doesn’t matter.
I’ve normally always been okay with her choices but the moment I saw this, I burst out laughing.
Bee keeper + lampshade hat > check
Armpit vagina (again!!!) > check
NECK support (seriously, it’s like a fashion victim’s neck support) > check
That tackly glove > check
Just not happening this time, sorry.
Haha. you cracked me up.
Lol you got it right on all counts! The face, what we can see of it, looks pretty, but it looks like someone smashed a round grill on her head!
I so agree with you.
The ill fitting horrible jump suit. That hideous weird hat. And the choker to hold her neck up. Ewwww
I think on the whole Natasha looks v striking.. but yes the more I look at her hat.. I get the feeling of the protective hat/gear one has to wear on bee farms..
It’s supposed to look like that, Anika. The Alexander McQueen ss13 collection was an ode to the apiary, henc the honeycomb and bee theme.
Ok, that’s where my recycle bin went
LOL
i think she does read this site. i remember people complaining she stuck to the same look and now it’s like she’s saying ‘HHC readers, shut up!’ lol!!!! actually this look needs some major editing. the gloves have to go to, and the neckpiece just looks uncomfortable. and the jumpsuit is one size too small for her.
Stunning is an understatement! She looks more than perfect!
Ok, that’s it. I’m going to call her NATTY GAGA from now on.
The more I look at the hat, the more I am amused (in a good way) but I really think she could have worn it much better with a dress instead. Somehow the look is a bit messy, even though there is no doubt she must have paid a BOMB for all of that.
Are we looking at the same outfit? It’s a hideous look. I’ll fitted garment. The choker doesn’t work on her neck n the hat is badly executed. Sorry. From where does this look good?
What gloves are people talking about…it looks like a wrist brace/splint to me
you are right. That splint is most often used as first line treatment for carpal tunnel/other wrist issues..which can happen from holding the large clutches like hers, she is making it worse for herself.
Yep. That is definitely a splint.
She looks great in the jumpsuit. But the necklace and the hideous hat is ott.
I am not very sure about the fitting of her outfit :/ She surely is showing off her money!
Why do think designers think women would want to walk around with bee-hives on their head? Organic honey close at hand?
Holy moly guacamole! one can see her armit “va….ggginaaa” like Jennifer Lawrence stated in one of the red carpets!! didn’t like it!!
Would you sing her praises if the hat and necklace (more like neck brace) weren’t designer pieces… You would think she is a nutcase… that is exactly how she looks… irrespective of how much she paid to attain the effect.
I likes how she always tries to get at her idea of high fashion but somehow it never works for me. In this picture it seems as if the neck piece will asphyxiate her..NO for me..
There is a very fine line between looking edgy and looking downright ridiculous.
The lovely Ms. Poonawalla just crossed that line. The armpit vagina and the fit of the jumpsuit (which I think is perfect) is the very least of her problems.
The “hat” looks like a tire rim and the necklace looks like a neck brace.
agree
Accessory Overkill , and this not the first time she has done that.
As much as I think this outfit is ‘buzzzzzzing’ with inconsistency, I have to say I admire her confidence. Girl is Working it!
ALSO, I counted five ‘armpit v*****’ mentions on this thread. :-/ (I guess with my comment, it totals Six?)
what’s ‘high fashion’ about wearing a freakin “lamp shade” on your head !!!!!!!!
I agree. I think these hats are the most unflattering and uncomfortable accessory ever invented. There is nothing high fashion about them in my opinion. They look plain stupid.
Not a great look – The jumpsuit looks just ok, and the fit is too tight for her.
The choker made the look over accesorized and cumbersome.
The hat need a light colored dress and different hairstyle.
I simply love it….if you can’t play dress up at the races, where then?
Fashion faux pas:
1.Length of the jumpsit – too long
2. Armpit bulges( she is not “naturally” thin and thats why still has fat pockets )
3 4 chunky and hideously big accessories
4 Bad hair day ( Sleek pony could have salvaged the look)
5 pose says “look at me Look at me ” mind say i am just an ordinary girl who has married into money so SHOW OFF….
Darling P n P thats not a fashionista its a WANNABE
Actually she does come from money :)
Nt just married into money ..
Darling , dont think the aroras are any where near the Poonawalas! This chick is I got tons so let me look at the price tag …the most expensive stuff let me buy who will look at the nitty gritties like fit style design???
I agree! It’s a vulgar show of money!
She comes from the Arora business family.
i am going to go against the grain here on this blog and just say it — why are we so upset by the sight of “armpit vaginas”? its really really utterly disrespectful of our natural beautiful bodies. and shame on you ladies for perpetuating this idea that we are all supposed to be plastic barbie dolls with no bumps and lumps. its casual body hatred like this that keeps the school bullies alive – in school rooms and outside on fashion blogs. stop it. just stop it.
in other news – yes that is a really stupid hat on poonawalla.
peace out.
preach!
i agree.. talk about over reaction.. i don’t think its bad at all..and she’s at the races of course she would love to dress up…
Thank you! I absolutely agree
It’s depressing to see so many mentions of it
Also as I much as I like JLaw it’s sad that one jokey comment from her has translated to this being the big issue of HHC comments. Something that was never mentioned before
Fact that JLaw said it ironically seems to be lost on some
thank you for putting this bongbabe……
No one was being excessively mean. It’s just that if you do have a bit of a lump, why squeeze it into an outfit that’s a size too small, which will only highlight problematic areas?
Well said! I am glad I wasn’t the only one getting annoyed at the body shaming going on here.
And you are right about the hat too…well,if you can call that thing a hat!
THIS OH MY GOD THIS.
I’m conscious enough about every inch of my body and now I have to worry about armpit vaginas too sigh. Some people just have them no matter how loose the outfit, you can’t spot reduce weight. Women are definitely their own worst enemies.
Stop perpetuating body hatred!
Its like this, some of us have ugly black dry knees…. we then dont wear short skirts, some of us have jelly bellies…we then dont wear crop tops….. get the drift? HAVE IT??? ONLY then flaunt it :)
She looks lovely head to toe. She carries this hat with ease.
Yuck. All I can see is her armpit V*gina.
P&P what happened to your policy of no comments approved about body fat/shape/size? These comments about you know what have sunk to a new low
I agree! I’m disappointed that comments that say “yuck. armpit vagina” are approved.
It’s blatant body shaming and has nothing to do with fashion or even clothing
There are often subtle comments that speak to a person’s body type and body fat that do go through (which I also wonder about) but at least they are subtle
There is nothing subtle happening in this comment thread. It’s pure disgusting hatred
And not that it should matter but it’s hilarious that it’s being directed towards a woman who obviously is in fabulous shape – so what if she has a couple of bumps somewhere. Don’t we all?
i disagree. Firstly, i hate the term armpit vagina. Much prefer to describe it as a bulge. That aside, i think it has to do with clothing. Tight clothing for that matter. If she wore the right sizes of garment and undergarment, this would’nt occur in my opinion/experience. However i do think its not a very serious issue just like i have no qualms about the visible panty line.
Please read my comment…. to mel also would you think that a wrong bra size is ok ? is it a fashion faux pas or a body slamming event???
Wearing the right size bra is more for support and health reasons. Saying “some of us have ugly black dry knees therefore we don’t wear short skirts” is ridiculous. Speak for yourself because life is too short pandering to made up rules. I will damn well wear a short skirt/crop top if I want to, dry knees or otherwise. And if you don’t want to, then by all means don’t.
You get that bulge, if you wear wrong size clothes. If she was in proper shape or the toning came through with natural reduce, then I don’t think there will be that obvious armpit bulge. Either way, this should have beent he first one on the list. To get something which fits you right. That IS a fashion paux. She is a celebrated socialite least here on HHC. I am sure she can afford to buy proper sized clothes and afford a nice mirror :P
Why am I the only one who likes this look ??
Yes, there are few issues (fit at armpit, choker , length) but I think she is the only one whose looks we can take as is and put them on editorials .. it is not perfect in real life because it is not photoshopped …love her confidence!!
As far as the armpit vagina goes .. just bcoz J-Law said it , everybody seems to comment on those… like why? .. We can’t have photoshop-perfect bodies .. can we? Not to defend Natasha here .. but hasn’t anyone ever gotten into a dress that fit perfectly everywhere, except at the under-arms .. Just wondering ??
I am more fascinated/repulsed by all the comments about the “armpit vag***”! Since when did vagina become a cuss word that needed to be censored. I am truly amazed at the number of comments that have done this. Of course, as Bongbabe said, why are we even discussing armpit fat or whatever. Seriously? I thought P & P had a strict “fashion only” comment policy with no negative body talk. To discuss whether she is “naturally thin”/skinny and why she has armpit fat, has nothing to do with fashion and is a great disservice to positive body image.
Also, VAGINA, VAGINA, VAGINA. Loud and proud, people.
Lol
Love your comment
How true. As much as I’m disturbed by the talk of armpit vaginas (not because of the word but because of the body shaming of an aspect that has never seemed to matter before. Oh JLaw…what have you done!)…I hadn’t thought about the **ing of the word
So there I’ll join you. Vagina
but not an armpit one!
I read VAGINA monologues and I completely agree with you.
P.S The hat is a disaster.
Now this is what I call Zara hat ke!! Ha ha
Sarah burton is really not right for Alexander´s legacy. There is very few of her late designs that work on the RC. :/
Other than the obvious fit issue, I am sold on this outfit. It’s fun, a little kooky and such a welcome change from the usual socialite uniform.
Also, whatever she wears seem to have more impact than even actresses have in this site (atleast from the comments). We need someone like Natasha to give us something different to talk about!
But yeah, the fit realllllllly brings this look down. Such a pity.
The way I see it, the armpit vagina (dumb term but going with it since that’s what people here have used) remarks are not body shaming – but pointing out that she’s wearing an outfit that’s way too tight/not the right size for her, to the extent it’s literally squeezing her body! Fashion/style is also about comfort in my book – and that top looks mighty uncomfortable since it’s unnaturally squeezing her body. What does her being thin/fat/any size got to do with it!? ANYONE wearing something that’s not fitting for their size can end up doing this. Body shaming is wrong, but imo pointing out how badly fitted her top was that it bunched up her flesh and made it protrude, is not body shaming. It’s making a comment on the lengths some people will go to, to wear something that’s in vogue.
She is one of the most gorgeous women on the social circuit.
Having said that, she doesn’t fare well this time.
Regarding the armpit vagina- consider wearing an outfit which gives you muffin top. Would you go out and about posing knowing your excessive skin is hanging out. Same is with the armpit here. Choose to dress accordingly.
And again I am not body shaming here. We all are body conscious and we all know our flaws. Just that we pay less attention to some flaws which appear major to others.
Somehow I wouldn’t have even noticed the armpit v***na had I not read the comments on this site. I still maintain she looks great. Love the look from head to toe.
more than this look…i was more interested on 56 response(!!!) for this post.this look clearly managed to grab attention(in a bad/good way)of many:)
Definitely disagreeing with all the haters, she looks stunning and carries the look very well! Kudos to her for pulling this off with such poise!
Second you that! I loved it too!
I think she can hold on her own and rule the roost in social circuits!! It’s unfair for ppl to say that she is always fashionably dressed because she wants to show her money..people who invest in art or in high fashion clothes do not necessarily do so to show their money but rather they like art or fashion. I for one would love to be dressed in such high end fashion not to flaunt money but because I care for fashion…and yes armpit vagina or cleavage, there is nothing to be ashamed of our bodies!!
P&P, you should definitely include this look at year end (Rewind 2014) when you get nostalgic about the year gone by and the outfits that needed a mention.
Wow – Women can be incredibly mean to each other. This is fashion, ladies & gentleman! She is making a fashion statement and I applaud her for it. I love her hat! Have you heard of Philip Treacy, miliner (hat maker) and his amazing, creative designs?? Yes, it’s out there, but that’s what haute couture IS. Take a note. At least she’s taking a risk and she’s pulling it off fabulously. And kudos to the women who pointed out the body-shaming, very on-point.
I love this woman & her styling to the core..She can carry off even the quirkiest things well..And oh yeah..she nailed it!
Love this woman’s dress sense. So much panache.
On a side note; the armpit vagina (the term existed long before JLaw used it, fyi) is a affliction that well endowed women suffer from when they wear ill-fitting bras. It’s not a ‘problem area’.
