Wearing Her Own
We love a designer who wears her own clothes and wears it well; no better ambassador than yourself we say!

What about this kurti is her “own” design?? Seriously i dont find anything new or creative abt this dress/tunic. We have seen millions of kurtis that looks like the one she is wearing. Only thing thats her own is that she ditched the pants, but thats not even an impressive point.
My thoughts exactly.
exactly what i am thinking!
Totally what I thought!
This is what exactly I thought !!!
That’s exactly what I thought as well…that she forgot to wear the pants
Exactly!
I agree!!! Who the heck wears a kurti as a dress?! Pants or at least capris could’ve saved this look.
nobody should pay more than Rs.700 for that. And I am being generous here…
Um, 700 rupees? Really? How about 200? :|
Visit any flee market in Delhi or in Mumbai..u’ll get it for Rs. 80/-. Not any more for dis disaster..
its more like a kurta than a dress!
i have a kurta from fab india that’s got a similar print.
She honestly looks great in everything she wears. But yes it is best when the designers wear their own!
I completely agree with Charan, this is just a regular kurti. There is nothing new or special about it, the stripes are just tacky.
Did she forget to put on her pants?
If this is a dress, it quite shapeless.
Seems like she forgot to wear pants!!!!
Whats so designer about this???? Its something that sells here in Artesia for 3 for $20…..and its usually meant to be worn with pants.
LOL@artesia. They sell 3 for 20? when i checked the last time around (2008) twas like $70-80 for a fairly decent kurti.
Looks like the designer forgot to wear pants. The length of this is odd. The one worn by Kadambari in the previous post is similarly designed but looks like a dress where as this one looks like an incomplete outfit and that too not a pretty one.
looks like she’s going to the beach! and get over that hideous nailpaint already-eewww!
agree with others – kurti minus pants..!
This looks like a regular kurti from alco market (bandra).
It looks like she just finished swimming at the beach.
If you could stop fawning for a minute, may I point out that she forgot her pants?
The fact that her flip flops look like Rainbows totally made me think that this was beachwear.
I agree that it’s nothing special, and the outfit comes off as more casual than she probably intended.
talk about blonde ambition! did she get those coloured tresses from her mothers side, fathers side or peroxide??
Har Har Har this is priceless……
I saw her in mumbai at her store, she has very light brown hair, the blond highlight look very natural. I actually like the color and length of her dress. the shoes give it a very casual look. I like. Perfect casual wear for mumbai weather. i think her bag is too large, I would have carried a smaller shoulder bag.
LOL !
She is long, lean and leggy and most things look good on her!
Nothing great about the kurti but she sure looks good in it..pants or no pants.
But why does she have the same look in all pictures? I mean her expression
Just proves my point most Indian designers are crap and clueless!
She is looking good, but definitely, she forgot her pants. Also nothing new or great abt the design. She always looks serious… never seen her really smile or laugh!
She always looks man-ish to me!! she is goodlooking but then not feminine enuf for me!! and yes..she forgot the pants at home!!
while she doesn’t look bad i have to agree with the majority – how is this a designer piece…pretty standard kurta…nice enough but whats the big deal
hey, those are santa’s colors. Red and white…LOLs! She looks ok. The flip-flops are making it look very beach-wearish. Woulda preferred to a suttle gold glads maybe
It seriously looks like something you’d pick up at Linking Road in Bombay
she looks good beac she has that certain classy prescence but the outfit is nothing to write home about…. i agree with all posts about how this looks far from designer and would be available at any local indian market for a small sum.
That print went out of fashion like a million years ago.
Those flip flops are unbelievably boring
But shes gorgeous and that pretty much saves the day
