Doing Black

Both ladies have a distinct sense of style and wear their ‘look‘ with enviable ease.

They both might have opted for black as the dominant color for their events but where Konkona sneaked in a hint of red, Nandita went with a punch of fuschia. Being partial to fuschia I just gravitate to Nandita’s look more, but got to say both ladies looked lovely.

  1. Don’t like either. Looks as if it’s been quickly thrown together. Nandita Das doesn’t even have the same shades of black on between the top and skirt.

Koko does look like a Judo Master though..haeee-yaa! :D
Nandita looks alright..nothing to write home about.
I’ve always thought that they resemble each other so much, they could be sisters :D

  4. I like black and pink going together but don’t like the skirt and the top so much. Konkona looks more put-together in my opinion.

  5. Dont like either… Whats with Konkona and the loose pyjama trousers…. I think she would look great in fitted trousers..The top and the black red combo is nice..
I have always loved nandita in her simple outfits.. even if they are simple ikat prints.. but just dont get this one… the length of the skirt is a bit off .. she works the fuschia and the black but the overall look is just so boring..

  8. please dont get me wrong bc both ladies are very talented and i admire them for that.

with that said, they both wear pretty plain outfits and it is starting to bore me. like konkona must have the same pair of wide leg pants in every color because she hardly wears anything else.
nandita looks like she bought her outfit at salvation army. i am sorry but this is a fashion blog! i dont see the magic or attraction in either outfit. this post should be labeled “what not to wear”
