At the Big Star Entertainment Awards, Mini was photographed wearing an Ekaya sari with a Raw Mango blouse. A bouffant ponytail, long silver earrings and a Bottega Veneta clutch finished out the look. First things first, when it comes to saris, Mini gets it right more often that not, this being one of them. That said, do wish she had picked a different pair of earrings. The ones she had one crowded the neckline and brought down the look a notch or few. Besides, the blouse and hair do did enough to modernize the look, she didn’t need the earrings in the mix too.

sorry to say, this look is a bit of a mess. And that hunched pose is not helping. Everything feels a bit askew, including that blouse, which has shifted to a side. And that shiny silk feels a bit cheap, though I know Ekaya sarees are anything but!
I rarely feel this about Ekaya sarees – but yikes, that is a one horrific piece of clothing! Very cheap-looking and tacky!
Why does she have her fingers splayed out like that? Is it to display the ring?
I love mini in her sarees, this is gorgeous. The colour looks lovely on her, and as usual she gives it a modern and fresh look. I agree with you about the earrings though. I’ve noticed she often tends to favor these cheap looking, ‘forever 21’ style jewelery with her sarees. She should go for chunky, tribal silver stuff or go for temple gold jewellery. Would have given a classier finish.
Is she sitting or standing, or something in between? And that is one cheap, shiny material.

Those are some unfortunate, awkward poses. I’m guessing the saree looked better without the flash. An oxidized silver necklace and jhumkas would’ve elevated the look but she looks lovely nevertheless.
