In Anavila
Mini, who emceed the MAMI Film Club event in Mumbai last evening picked an Anavila sari for the occasion. Wearing her hair down, she finished out the look with silver earrings and a pair of nude pumps. Like what you see?

Bit of a disaster. I would have preferred to see strappy or even minimalist sandals, but they wouldn’t distract from the blouse and pallu. Rather lacklustre makeup is the cherry on top of a dismal look.
Oh gosh! This is a massacre of a lovely saree. Hideous blouse & drape.
The casual drape of an everyday saree wearer is different from try hard casual. If you do not wear saree everyday it shows so better to stick to a proper drape. Just not coming together here.
I love both mini and Anavila. I want to like this. But I can’t.. She’s looking unkempt and disheveled.
+1
Mini, why did you have to do this?
Never seen Mini so badly turned out. And anyway, I just don’t get Anavila saris. I mean, why would you buy such a limp fabric in such washed out colours to wear anywhere else except to bed?
Somebody just spoke my mind !
+1000 i find them so dull are same same lookin; what is so great? this luk sucks majorly
She probably wanted to dress apt for the discussion..MAMI :-D
*occassion
Very shabby look – The saree by itself is nothing to write home about, and the lackluster styling does nothing to help.
But why? Lol.
PS: Now they have a “mami” club, great! :P
This is a trying to be cool look & not really managing it. She looks haapy but funny.. Tisca is the real deal at quirking up the sari
She always does the Indian wear well but not this time. The look is not well put together. The shoes, for one, are just not going with the saree. Looking rather messy to me.
Too messy and unkempt. Considering she’s such a saree afficionado, she hasn’t even draped this well.
Can someone give these celebs a lesson in “How to wear a saree?”
Such a lovely saree gone wrong.
She looks like someone during the great depression. May be I am too pedestrian to get high end fashion. #smh
+1!
Was this the event with Ian McKellen and Aamir Khan? I found it funny that Sonam said she doesn’t find any of Shakespears’s female characters inspiring….
We’re digressing from fashion here but i thought even Sonam Kapoor (despite her tendency to make airhead comments) had a point.
The Bard, in keeping with the prevailing notions of his time, has relegated female characters to uninspiring and insipid territory.
“Uninspiring and insipid” – Viola? Beatrice? Lady Macbeth? Juliet? Rosalind? Katherine? Portia? Cleopatra?
I had the following in mind: Katherina (Shrew), Cordelia (Lear), Ophelia (Hamlet)
But I agree about Portia being different. Not so much for Juliet.
horrible! What’s going on in the fashion/film industry?! They’ve abandoned all sense of fashion and styling. Another big disaster in Mini and Anavila combination! Doesn’t work.i am sorry for mini more than Anavila. She somehow loves this random shabby chic look.obviously poor designer doesn’t know fits or flares or fashion or styling ?? sorry but can’t stop laughing at this!
