Love love love this dress and you know what, it ain’t thaaat expensive either($398 vs being over a grand…)! And, I love the fact that Mehr kept her look simple by not wearing any overwhelming accessories or blingy footwear. (Well, of course, she wouldn’t, she ain’t like that!)
P.S. I think she is even wearing the same Giuseppe Zanotti shoes suggested in the NET-A-PORTER link.

I mostly like clothes by DvF. This one, honestly, looks very very bad in all the photos and does nothing for such a beautiful woman. The washed silk looks like velvet(suede?)…

And I do kinda have to agree on the velvet curtain look. I love the effortless, billowing stye of the dress, but maybe not the fabric that much. Or perhaps it just doesn’t photograph well?

the fall of the dress on her makes her look statesque but overall the dress is blah..would have preferred it if it had something like the purple accent to break the boring monotonous color…

i love the dress.. very simple and stylish but i don’t like how the color black looks in particular when light is falling on it or when it begins to fade.. it just puts me off
Mehr’s looking fab as always, but the fabric of that dress – it looks faded in the first picture. And that kind of put me off. And it looks a little too tight at the bust.
Works on her coz shes tall and slim.

i think its a nice dress, but you need to have some chest to carry it off well. its ok on mehr, but would look better on a curvier woman
well, it’s fine…but just boring. too much material there. i do like the soft look and feel of the material though. but i like mehr and her simple style.
there is no purple accent to this dress – it is drab black. that purple comes from the lights – check that far off person in the first pick..she is also bathed in purple

When Mehr and I were on the ramp together she was always such a clothes horse- I found her walk to be more like a horse trot too. Thats why I dont use her in shows of mine.
She now is such a boring dresser.
On the ramp she would sulk when I would get to walk the designer out- her at that Madhu Sapre.
This website needs more of me. I wear stunningly animalistic prints and wot not. I wear 3/4 white pants.
