In Maheka Mirpuri

Manisha Koirala made an appearance at Vineet Mittal’s Wedding reception in a white Maheka Mirpuri strapless churidaar outfit. Compared to the floral one that Maheka wore, the white sure looks a tad better, the operative word being tad, but going strapless just wasn’t a good idea. The style looks so bad on Manisha. ( And Maheka too!)

  1. you honestly think Manisha’s is even a tad bit better? Both look as bad as each other. Manisha is drawing too much attention to you know where.

  2. What is the point of wearing a strapless churidar outfit if you’re going to drape your dupatta OVER your shoulders? This latest “trend” is unflattering on so many levels, and I still don’t understand why designers are hell-bent on ruining perfectly gorgeous, traditional Indian outfits.

  3. I think floral one would have looked better with a plain dupatta. The whie one looks wayyyyy worse. Manish needs better support. Meheka doesn’t look too bad.

  4. I prefer the floral one, relatively speaking. Manisha’s version looks a bit on the outdated side.

I wouldn’t wear or buy either one though.

  5. i do like the floral dress.. its pretty,,, as far as manisha’s outfit is concerned, it just makes me worry that the dress will give away any moment.. i would be highly distracted if i was to hold a conversation wit her! The dowdy net doesnt make it any better!

  6. The strapless top is really bad particularly on Manisha as its making her look top heavy – otherwise she looks gorgeous in all white, so ethereal!

  7. Oh no!!I quite feel it is a bad idea to have strapless kameez.. Please ask the designers to not ruin the traditional kameez.. please !!
The floral one is relatively better here .. and is it not a known fact that strapless outfits are a no for top heavy people ( unless ofcourse with absolutely appropriate innerwear) !!

  8. I actually like the simplicity of Manisha’s version, though we all know it is going downhill, and not in a good way…perhaps, the dupatta/net is there to catch it? hahah!

Meheka’s dupatta is distracting from what I’d say is a rather cute churidaar! Though we all know that going strapless can be a very, very, dangerous proposition.

  9. I like both, the floral one is better for me.Manisha MUST NOT dress in strapless wears.evn in the previos gown she wore,i thot ,it wud hv lukd better on her wit a thin strap atleast…….gves an imaginery support…..otherwise it luks lik the dress will NOW come off her bosom.

  10. Manisha’s outfit defies the law of biology. The errrm…chest, now begins at the waist.

It looks like the chest was in a hurry to grow and didnt want to bother with details like a waistline.

  12. me too thinks that the floral is better! as for manisha’s well it seems like the bodice looks large to begin with and doesn’t help her cause much!

  13. The floral one is miles better (only when compared to the white) Manisha needs a good supportive strapless bra – those puppies are near her waist.

  14. White chudidaar looks better but I hate it that it’s strapless. It really does draw too much attention to her chest (like almost everyone else has said).

  15. No fan of the salwar kameez goin the strapless way now…..but I do prefer Maheka’s outfit to Manisha’s white WTF outfit. And when you know you’ll have to cover your gross mistake with your sheer dupatta, why even bother to wear that mistake in public??

  16. Manisha is too young to be letting herself go like this. I think what she is wearing IS beautiful, unlike many of you here, only it’s too low on the chest which makes her breasts look droopy (she was always well endowed and it is natural for bigger breasts to droop some that is why they need really good support) and her face, her face! if you’re going to dress up to go to an event, how can you forget to do your face!? A bit of foundation would have helped, a nicer lipstick…do something with the hair. Why bother at all if you’re not going to try your best at it. I always look forward to seeing her in pictures, this is sorta disappointing.

  17. Oh God, what was she thinking. Manisha’s white outfit is beautiful but its waay too low making her look like the mayor of Sagsville. The worst part is I dont think the top was intentionally low. Her top migrated south. As a person similarly endowed, large breasts droop after 21 (sigh). You need an extremely good bustier bra to even THINK of going strapless. But seriously, did someone drag her to the event? Manisha’s so beautiful but concealer is her best friend.

  18. The floral one is kind of cute. It has more potential for improvement. If the print was on something a little less sheer a simple shalwar kameez could have looked really pretty.

  19. I totally agree with Lori, I really like this strapless churidar look BUT ONLY worn with good support. Also, the whole look for Manisha looks incomplete, her hair and makeup is to blah, and some accessories would be nice

I think Maheka looks beautttiful, i love the whole look on her, and i would totally buy this!

  20. I don’t know who the lady in the floral one is, but she fares waaaay better than Manisha. How could someone so top heavy even think of this look?!
