In Seema Khan

Malaika was seen at Arpita’s birthday bash in a pair of metallic Seema Khan pants, a white tank and sparkly silver Louboutins. I was already not a fan of the pants but wearing the padded bra with the fitted tank made the look a whole lot worse. A looser top might have salvaged this look.

Like her off-duty party style?

You can catch Seema and Bhavana in black versions of the pants here.

  1. It’s a pain to think that somebody designed those montorous pants, painful to see that someone then wear them and even more painful to learn that P&P wrote a post about them.

  2. Oh God. Cant believe Malaika is wearing that hideous bra…A little support is alright in the form of a slightly cupped and padded bra but this is outrageous!

  3. Seema Khan designs are anyway so forced , they have never looked appealing or interesting.
Malaika is pretty but i wish she would not put so much eeffort in keeping up the ‘SEXY’ tag.

  4. I personally feel this outfit is unflattering and mismatched. The ensemble, if it can be called as such, is trying to bring elements that may in theory work together but don’t. The top half is far too off-duty, the limp hair, the tank top, the absence of make-up (barring the red lips), and the bottom half is partying in the 80s with disco ball accents.

This look could have worked with five simple changes:

    1) Seamless bra with no push-up effect (the current bra creates unnecessary contours)
    2) Silk-jersey black tank top, which has a casual vibe but at the same time is sophisticated
    3) Cigarette leg black trousers for a clean line and clean look
    4) Hair pulled back into a no-fuss ponytail because clearly Malaika didn’t want to do an updo.
    5) A sheer red stain on the lips for a pop of colour but not so stark as the lipstick because that only highlights how unmade-up the rest of the face looks.

The shoes can stay because the bring a little sparkle to the outfit. This would have created the ideal casual, effortless chic that Malaika was attempting with this outfit!
