Malaika helped launch a book in Chennai on Tuesday and at the event was seen in a frilly dress by Dubai based designer, Amira Haroon. Hair in a middle-parted braided updo, her look was finished out with jewellery by Renu Oberoi and nude Louboutins.
Not much to fault here. She looked great.

:)) I started laughing when I saw this since I am getting a very Jerry Seinfeld puffy shirt vibe here, not a nice dress at all.
Neck up she looks very nice.

The face, makeup and hair is perfect. The dresses a bit weird. I don’t mind ruffles, but these ruffles did not have a happy ending.
The one time she covers up and isn’t OTT tackily dressed it’s this hot mess. I wonder if we will ever get a not in your face and not this type of a disaster look.
actually the bottom of the dress is really pretty but all the ruffles at the top are overkill. and that matronly hairstyle doesnt help to tone it down. i think a sleek ponytail would have been the perfect contrast.
This is so totally a mother-of-the-bride look. So she either does the tacky and tight look, or this matronly frilly pillowcase.

She’s looking nice from neck up but that dress reminds me of my grandmother’s doilies.
That dress is terrible – but she looks soo pretty. That hair and make up is perfect. And her skin is always glowing.

What an exceedingly bad dress! Looks like it was inspired by frilly underwear from the Victorian era.
The dress might have been salvaged by chopping the sleeves off, or with boho styling. :) Malaika looks gorgeous anyway.
