Not the color, not the kurta with its super high slit, not the badly hemmed pants… Nope, none of it worked. Madhuri Dixit deserved better than the suit she chose to wear at a recent event.

  1. Is the super high slit the latest trend??I hope not, it’s super horrible. I also feel the bust area is way too tight. Out of topic, just watched her dedh ishqiya trailer she looks absolutely divine & huma as well.

  2. Ewwck!. She needs to first invest in some good bra. I can understand the noobs but after being in the industry for so long even she can’t dress up for her “body” type. Such a high slit where we can see the muffin top, like really? *smdh*

    • Agree with you! The bust area is just uncomfortable to look at and that high slit just looks unflattering and inappropriate. Overall this “outfit” is puke-worthy esp on a nice looking woman like Madhuri.

  3. This makes me sad. I have a soft spot for Madhuri which prevents me from fully hating anything she wears/does. But yes, I wish she would find a good bra, she never gets that right. I want to go Bra shopping with her ( not in a creepy way), where I can help her find the perfect bra.

  4. I’ve said it once I’ll say it again despite putting together some stunning ensembles why can’t Indian designers get their pants right? Even our darzis in Pakistan can do a better job. For nicely stitched pants check this out.

      • trust me I’d be the last person to condone a stereotype but having followed this blog since its inception this stems more from observation than anything else. I have seen a few other instances where eminently stylish outfits have been ruined by poorly stitched pants and it makes me wonder why since the outfits on these pages are put together by expensive, top of the line design houses which charge you foremost for the cuts and silhouette. So maybe not all tailors on our side get the trouser right but any designer worth their salt does and its surprising to see celebrity endorsed Indian designers fail on that account.

    • Pakistani ladies often wear these too short salwars which look odd to us. But I do agree Pakistani designers and women in general achieve elegance in Salwar suits more often.

  6. Can’t beleive the fake bust trend has changed women’s minds too. This is where most ppl’s bust is, check yours in mirror ;).
Also I see no muffin top here, what is wrong with everyone or is it me who is wrong?

  7. reminds me of the 90’s, dint like this style back then, hope it doesn’t come back and the dress is too tight.
