Madhuri looks stunning here but I disagree that she should always be wearing more conservative clothes and keep both her arms covered…Even though her looks on JDJ haven’t been perfect but still I don’t remember her wearing anything vulgar. I believe we are still stuck in the rut that if a woman is married, and has a normal feminine and full figure she should only be wearing full sleeved blouses and drape her pallu/dupatta in a certain way…Also, when certain actresses such as Vidya do that, they are accused of being behenjis/ non experimental.. *sighs*
So true. And comparisions to Sridevi are spurious. Madhuri is much shorter and smaller made than her (but with bigger boobs) so obviously the kind of style Sridevi goes for is just not going to suit Madhuri.
In fact, Madhuri looks best in her filmi sexy style. Just let her be. But no, all these ageist 20- something aunties want their badly written opinions on Madhuri’s style to be taken seriously. Bah.
PS: I like Vidya Balan’s style. She seems comfortable and happy in it and its part of her brand now. Each actress/person has their own style and game that they bring to the table. Why expect them to all be the same? Why expect them all to be apply the same high-fashion sensibility that maybe a Sonam does? I have seen such moaning about Deepika’s shoe repetition too- when none of them know that she is a size 8 for which it is very difficult to get shoes.
not true…look at sridevi’s sari looks. universally loved and applauded. Maria & Mini too. The chammak Challo look is what we complain abt. 1. it went out a long time back, looks bad on everyone. 2.She has consistently been doing too-tight choli looks, which dont suit her. When she looks classy, we give credit (here). We are not blind haters, which is just as bad as blind love.
Also, noone is asking her to cover up from head to toe (again Sridevi’s western looks), just dress as per her body type. Infact we were hankering for her to move away from cheap net saris to sophisticated westerns.But she went wrong with wrong dressing for body type there too. Same goes for vidya. yards n yards of excess fabric and sloppy draping are as bad as skimpy too tight cholis. gettit? why is that so difficult to understand i donno.
