Logo Mania

Comment image 30

Rani travelled out of Mumbai on Monday evening wearing a white lace bomber jacket with a black tee and jogger pants. What caught our eye though was her Dolce & Gabbana sneakers and that wouldn’t have been a big deal until we also spotted the Gucci logo tote she also carried with her. (We’re gonna ignore the Gucci kid’s backpack here cuz it probably belongs to Adira.)

Was that one logo/lettering too many for ya? It sure was for us.

  1. Calm down peeps, she is Aditya Chopra’s wife. lol And maybe these designers are sending her free stuff, a la Manish Malhotra!! Logo clashing is a trend we are going to to see with the celebs for a long time. So let us enjoy the ride

    • Sometimes, a conversation can go in a different direction with a follow up comment and we try to end it before gets side-tracked. In this case it was regarding her daughter.

      • sorry, are you referring to my original comment or someone’s else’s reply to my comment? if you’re referring to mine, i am surprised, because the reference was not to her daughter at all. the reference was to the inappropriateness of buying a Gucci backpack for your toddler — any toddler.

  2. Those shoes are fugly.
Pink with a brand name written on it. Im sure it costs a bomb too.
On that note, what do these ppl do with all these ugly accessories – so many handbags (which can be given away) or shades or shoes (which I doubt can be returned)? Do they hoard it in their mansions?
Really, regular people have much better tastes than these uber rich folks who flaunt brands upon brands. Atleast they should look worthy!

  4. I get the logic, whats the point of owning Dolce & Gabbana shoes if nobody realizes they are Dolce & Gabbana, God forbid , somebody thinks they are from Skechers!

    • I like Skechers! :D

Such a brilliant actor Rani is but this is an overload. Not just her but others too seem to have lost a sense of personal style and are just now flaunting logos. Maharani Gayatri Devi, Waheeda Rehman, even Vidya Balan and Kiran Rao are some of the women who had/have their own style. Also, personally I have a problem with someone carrying my bags, HOWEVER: when I go back home to my country, my driver immediately grabs my bags from me. In their culture its a sign of respect so perhaps same could be the case here as well?

  5. Uniformly tacky and unflattering taste. The fact that there is a gentleman carrying her bags, however, speaks volumes about her character. I assume she doesn’t have bilateral wrist injuries

  6. The outfit isn’t even worth commenting on. It is a shame that she is not carrying her own bags. She should be embarrassed.

  7. why wearing certain brands are met with such hatred? cos they are expensive? I understand this platform is to talk fashion, but why is the pricepoint a discussion ? is this hating for the heck of hating ?for ex: if a certain manufacturer is making a backpack or a bag and available for purchase, then anyone who likes it and would like to buy are free to buy and carry it around. why is that in poor taste? why shouldn’t someone buy that ? if no one buys it how will the said manufacturer survive ?

    • Wearing too many logos ( not brands) is simply not classy… That is the whole point everyone is making.. she doesn’t need to scream she is rich!!?
