L’Officiel’s 10th Anniversary Cover:(Un)Covered

Comment image 53

L’Officiel’s 10th Anniversary cover featured ten very familiar faces. Except, we couldn’t quite figure out why the ladies were featured. If you ask us, we couldn’t find one common aspect amongst them all. What was the theme?

P.S. Haseena is in Ermanno Scervino, Madhoo & Laila Khan are in Lanvin, Queenie is in Léger (but of course!), Samantha is in Malina, Seema in Shehlaa, Bhavna in Monisha Jaising, Maheep in Ananya, Prerna in Ermanno Scervino, Sussanne in Blumarine. Thanks Harshitha for the IDs.

  2. Everyone has been bought to one skin tone. This is such a horrible cover. Get over the “fair is beautiful” phase L’Officiel. Photoshopping gone overboard in this cover.

  3. what was the photographer thinking? how is it possible for all these women to have the exact same skin tone. They all look like lifeless mannequins. The worst is queenie in her , hate her outfit and pose. I do like Susanne’s dress.

  5. Real housewives of Bollywood county :)…maybe a reality show in the works ? I think the common thread between all of them is they’re all what you call Page 3.

Classy of Twinkle & Gauri to have not stepped into this crowd.

  6. Most of these “celebrities” are actually blending into the background of the cover, thanks to their outfits and photoshopped faces…. I like the pop of yellow on Samantha nayar’s outfit.. and one small “correlation” of showing is probably 10 of these ladies is to map to their 10th anniversary! On an aside, PnP, you need to change the image title to 10th anniversary instead of 100th anniversary! :)

  8. Bewildered why the magazine chose these women…Aside from Sussanne Roshan who has a vocation, the magazine should change its title to Officially Socialite. Really silly looking cover.

  9. I know what they have in common! They are all women made famous and identifiable to most of us only because of their innumerable appearances on this blog :P

  10. Theme – The Kardashian Christmas card, courtesy Indian socialites? Maheep looks like she’s holding in her breath, Queenie looks ditzy, Samantha (who?) looks startled…I could go on. Deffo a WTHeyyyyyyy!

  12. Ok, so could they not find other rich housewives to feature instead of the same ol’ same ol’? Oh, wait…other rich housewives are busy being just that..rich

  13. Photoshopped to an extreme, where Seema Khan is unrecognizable. These women are rich, influential because of beaucoup $$. This edition is supposed to be a “collectors special” that itself is hillarious!

  14. The sad part is most of these women don’t even have concept of style and hasnt done anything to be on the cover…oh well…nothing surprising here…

  15. It looks like l official is a total “pull the strings by your pr agent kind of magazine” it was mostly in the inside, but to bring it out on the cover is blatant.

  16. It’s so sad that now a days newspapers, blogs and magazines feature people because of their pr agents and not because of their merits, or who they really are. Socialites of a social world. are you worth cover material? Are you worth magazine material, who sees….

  17. haha … i agree with fashionfaff….but would like to add that haseena and susanne ..and perhaps even seema still look half decent…the rest = tacky clones of each other
