An Almost Ditto!

A few of you already spotted this but in case the rest of you missed it, in addition to wearing the black biker style outfit, Lara also wears a purple gown by Shahab Durazi, a variation of which we saw on Aishwarya in Verve.

This one is a toughie for me because I love the deep purple color of Lara’s but love the detail of Aishwarya’s too. Which version do you like more?

  1. It’d be easy to go with Aishwarya’s red simply coz that’s a photo-shoot so obviously all the colors look very vibrant and the red does compliment Aish’s skin tone splendidly but still I am on the fence coz personally that shade of aubergine is a favorite! —>Confused!!

  2. I love the purple color too but it does not compliment Lara’s skin tone in that picture. Also the bow on the purple gown looks cheesy and tacky.

So I have to go with the red gown because it looks more elegant.

  3. Ash, its a POWER dress, aptly worn for the most powerful people in Bollywood list. Lara’s is a lovely colour, but her hair i dont like, I know , I know its fresh etc etc, but i dont like it.

  4. ASH!!!
Lara’s hair looks silly with that dress. (and im a die hard Lara fan!) the shiny bow looks ugly too..
Ash’s red is definitely more elegant!

dunno…maybe because its a photoshoot…but for once. her clothes are doing justice to her extraordinary looks.

  7. Soo torn, too! I mean, I’m thinking about it and would the detail that’s on Aish’s in the photoshoot look okay in real life? but then again Lara’s bow just seems so out of place.

    yiikes, on the painful fence.

  8. lara’s purple for me…the red on ash is so predictable and it’s a photo shoot so it’s not a fair comparison…that being said, agree that the bow on Lara’s shoulder looks like an organism perching on her…

  9. love both, Lara looks great!! and Ash’s was a photoshoot so she has to. Purple is the color for me, but i have to admit the red one looks great.

  11. I guess most (including non bollywood/non models) will look good with the photoshoot, dress, hairstyle and professional make-up Ash has here. Lara probably didn’t have put up a lot of effort to look effortlessly good- i agree with all abt the cheesey shoulder detail on lara’s dress.

  13. I agree with u payal this one is tough ..although I love lara dutta for her elegance, style& beauty but this time dress suits Aish more as for magazine covers lot of photoshop work is always done plus i think the bow in Lara’s dress is not quite right ..

  15. if we are talking abt dresses strictly, lara’s dress is poorly designed, the second boob portion looks non existent, where the detailing is much better on ash’s.

In terms of looks also, though lara looks awesome,i feel that hair cut particulalry doesn’t go with this dress.

  16. they’re both gorgeous colours though i too dont like the blingy detail

i adore lara’s hair though and also how this dress makes her look tall and statuesque
