This is more impactful than she normally ever else is.
But I feel like there are other actresses who could have worn exactly this, in exactly this way & truly blown us away, courtesy their personalities.
She has a way of toning things down, not in a Diana Penty or Karisma sort of way, in a very bland monotone sort of way.
Tbh I really loved the mixture of two colour here. The gown has in it ” Hatke Thing” . To add to it, Makeup and accessories are on point. She looks glam.
It looks like the darzi ran out of fabric and the remaining material from Sophie’s gown for the evening to hers. I wish it had been monochromatic.
No. the combo is too stark, and the plain black upper portion looks like a swim suit esp in middle pic.
Kriti is soooo boring, anything she wears looks Meh! On another note, does it not feel that she this dress is a real life version of a cartoon character turning into an evil witch from a mermaid.

Something about this reminds me of the Star Trek uniform. I think it’s the teal black combo, or the shape of the dividing line between the colours, or something else. And the black leg part is like she put her leg in a big Amazon echo.

On the fence about the 2 colors. Methinks an all black gown would’ve looked striking. On a side note, Karan Johar needs to get rid of this ridiculous “fierce” expression he loves to give when photographed on the red carpet. It looks comical
The little mermaid outfit!! So much effort has gone into the structure of that gown, yet so little impact!
I agree that the fabric and color choice of the bottom makes it look like a mermaid costume but I think this silhouette is far more flattering on her than other silhouettes she has worn.
The second pic is so bad looks like she had a fish fin growing on her feet !
