In Nishka Lulla

Kiran accompanied her son to a kids birthday party wearing a Nishka Lulla maxi dress. A necklace, studded flats and a roomy backpack finished out her look. So, does this look hit a home run with you mommies among us?

  1. You don’t have to dress like a kid at a kid’s birthday party. The hair, the sandals, the necklace…heck we can even see her inner wear, all so wrong. Nothing works.

  2. Horrible!
As bizarre are her other choices of clothes .. this one just doesn’t work.
More than her son, she looks like the kid who has come to attend this birthday party ..
    Plus innerwear issues?!?!
She could have easily replaced the backpack with a roomy tote!
Mommy dressing .. pls learn from Twinkle Khanna and Shilpa Shetty (at this party)!

  3. If the backpack is so roomy why is she still holding so much stuff in her hands? looks like she is ready to parachute back home from the party.

  4. This woman marches to the beat of her own drums. Props to not being cookie-cutter.
My mom used to dress me up like this as a kid, too bad no one noticed her designer talent.

  5. I love that she wears what she wants, and mostly always looks great. Its not a style that I would choose, but she makes things work – quirky and weird as they may be!!!
But I can’t agree with her choice of shoes in this case. Some sleeker/delicate thong sandals would have worked better!

  6. Lol. I think all the frustrating comments are futile and will fall to deaf ears. She’s not a movie star and she doesn’t dress to please. She’s all about bohemian flair and comfort. As a film-maker she has a better style quotient than zoya, ekta kapoor, reema kagti and the likes.

  8. This look is terrible at so many levels! I may not always agree with her sartorial choices but she always owns her looks and her charm makes almost everything work – not this time, though!

  9. She looks hideous. Like an alien who’s learning to dress like humans.

Maybe thats her way of promoting her husband’s new movie, but seriously, yuck.

  10. I like what she’s wearing barring the inner wear issues. It looks comfortable, cute and event appropriate. And no, mothers of toddlers do not have to look like Shilpa Shetty or Twinkle Khanna. More power to them for being able to show up in perfectly blow dried hair, smoky eyed face and Louboutins. But I can’t imagine having to doll up like that with a toddler threatening to use my lipstick as a crayon every time he saw me use one.

  11. How’s this something designed by someone, let alone an established fashion designer? It looks like the product of someone’s first sewing lesson. The neckline, waistline and the hemline at the bottom totally remind me of the ‘habit’ nuns wear. Except they look way more presentable and becoming. Seriously WTHeyyy!
