It was a Fall 2010 Cue by Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna dress for Kiran at a recent do. A silver cuff and a pair o’ sparkly pumps completed her look.
Loved the dress on her! The only thing I’d change would be that cuff; wish she had skipped it altogether.

agree…i think the runway version looks far better because of the shock value of the face. I think this is one of those experimental editorial dresses that look good only in a magazine spread…on her it simply looks dowdy.

i think it is because the folds have not been draped properly on her. i am so tempted to fix them for her! probably impossible to keep them perfect in a real life scenario

Can someone tell me what’s that face mask (? :-) the model is wearing? How and why did it originate on the runway? Is it an attempt to take the attention away from the face and keep it on the clothes? ;-)

You guys consistently go VERY easy on Kiran Rao. Granted this dress looks good on her, but I have seen her in some shiteous outfits that you guys seem to turn a blind eye to. Furthermore, on just about everyone else hair styling is really important and frequently makes or breaks the outfit– not so for Kiran. Kiran’s hair and make up are EXACTLY the same and extremely dowdy at every appearance. Why aren’t you urging her to change it up?
I prefer the runway shoes, but Kiran doesn’t really wear anything sky-high right?
If she stepped out of the box with her shoe choices, she could well be the most stylish woman in Bollywood. (And she’s a star wife to boot!)

Like the dress..its effortless!
I’m actually quite liking the dress itself, which, I thought, was on par with some of the international designers (ones showcasing at London, Milan, Paris, NY) out there. But the gripe I’ve with Kiran’s outfit are the shoes, which look quite matronly.
But girls, please do a post on the sack of an outfit that Avantika Malik wore to this event… She needs urgent styling intervention!
I love her easy style…she keeps things so less complicated.

for other people you guys always comment on hair and makeup, but somehow for her you just skip that part alltogether. is it because she is just so..below average? i think you should comment on her hair and makeup, anyways, it would be interesting to say the least.

ok so she is a pretty woman. but her dressing is way too avant garde. i have yet to see kiran in a “normal looking” outfit. i agree she has personaltastes, but she is for one has the looks that woul d look good to stick to something like a little black dress. she needs to dress more to look look good rather than to look different.
I don’t think the problem is the cuff. The dress looks better on the runway because of how it falls on the model who is probably 5’9′ or taller. It needs to be about 2-3 inches shorter on Kiran.
I would also have preferred some edgy black heels with this dress – the sparkly shoes look a bit twee with this.
