love! this woman’s style is so in sync with the moment.
For a change she looks nice. Now I wish she would grow some hair and sport feminine hairstyles. She is deliberately ruining her womanliness in the name of quirkiness.
On another note:
Anavila is rocking. Seeing lot of celebs wearing Anavila sarees is a good change that they are preferring hand-loom clothes, even though it is designer wear. If more and more celebs start wearing handwoven fabrics, they can influence the common people to start adopting and wearing hand-loom clothes. Which helps and boosts the hand-loom industry of India and the weavers and the master craftsmen who creates these. It leads to the preservation of our hand-loom heritage. If that happens, then it’s like my dream come true.

Sometimes I feel she looks too cartoonish with that hair
I believe her choice of hairstyles, long or short, is part of her femininity. You can’t label feminine look with only one choice of hair length. She looks so graceful and beautiful in this look even with short hair.
+1 To each his own, you can’t define one’s femininity or “womanliness” by the length of the hair they sport. Anyone with a vagina is a woman. Period.

Who are we to define her “womanliness”? Is our womanliness as shallow as long hair, fair skin, feminine clothing and ornate decoration of our bodies? Each person is free to express his/her personality IMHO. More power to her for following her heart. Love the saree!

Yes whatever hairstyle Kiran is sporting here, she is not rocking it. Winona Ryder rocks her pixie hair cut, like she absolutely she looks amazing in it. Kiran should make some changes in her hair style I think to make it look more flattering.
Exactly, I agree with you Bertie. Also Aishwarya Rai, she is taken ‘granted’ to bash her for her fashion choices and looks.
Sinks my heart to read such prejudiced comments about someone’s “womanliness” especially ’cause its coming from a woman. Since when have we let the mere length of hair be the marker of ones femininity? Even if she turns up in a pixie cut wearing a lungi, I’d see her as a woman (with a very eccentric sense of fashion :P).
If Kiran has the freedom to dress like wants and keep her hair as she wants, then my comment is the freedom of my expression, no matter you like it or agree with it. Don’t be disheartened by everything you may not agree. If my comment is so bad, it wouldn’t get approved first of all. That says it all. Everybody on this blog has their freedom of expressing their opinions no matter we like or not. Even I may not agree with your views and thoughts, but I really don’t care.
By the way I like Priyanka Gandhi’s (d/o Rajeev Gandhi) hairstyle and dressing sense a lot. She has her signature pixie cut hairstyle or whatever it is, she rocks it. I don’t have any problem with her hair style. I am saying this to say that I like such hairstyles too.
And to the person who said ‘her hair her choice’, she judged and mocked Kareena Kapoor for holding a book in hand. If it is ‘her hair her choice’ then in Kareena’s case it is ‘her book her choice to hold it or keep inside the bag’. I am saying this because, it shows no body is perfect on this blog.
Except, whoever pointed that out about Kareena didn’t equate her choice with her “womanliness”. You still don’t don’t get the point do you?

I want to say this look is better than the faux saree she wore at the opening .. But why is it still not perfect?! its sloppy! For whatever reasons this saree doesn’t work for her! It’s a granny look. Looks not natural for kiran.

She looks so lovely here, perfectly feminine and pretty… Even without jewellery, bindi, kajal, etc. She’s not the ideal Bharatiya nari according to Bollywood, which makes her even more awesome, being married to quintessential hero and all.
