Sari Style
The Paani Foundation, an initiative started by Aamir and Kiran, held its award ceremony for a water saving competition on Monday evening. It was interesting to see Ms. Rao’s subtle ode to the Indian National Flag and the day by way of her sari. If you look closely, you’ll notice the orange and green piping on the border.
Because the sari and blouse combo itself were just so striking, I thought the necklace here was unnecessary. She still looked rather sweet.

Its a nice look – sari and necklace.. but somehow she looks awkward in it.. i think its her posture. And that blouse is not helping either.
The bottom of the saree (the shiny portion)/pallu reminds me of bathtub shower liner ; )
IMHO Kiran is a few decades young for this look. Unfortunately I also find the her looking strangely dorky in this outfit.
+1
Dorky/Goofy is her signature look.
omg how adorable is she! love this.
I just cant take a terribly fitted blouse and a terribly draped saree with unkept hair to be “quirky”.
nope this isn’t quirky. this is just awful drape and fit.
sadly, this does not work for me. While the simplicity of the saree and blouse, and the eternal style necklace are perfect in theory… the whole thing is looking so bad on Kiran. I think it doesnt work for her, plus the bad drape, is just a lost cause all together. EPIC fail, IMHO
What the hey…
Hair and outfit don’t go hand in hand here
I don’t quite understand this comment. What are women with short hair supposed to do when they wear sarees? Or should women not sport short hair at all so its not at variance with diff outfits?
The necklace worked .. It pops up the look more and became more interesting
like the addition of the necklace… nice look
