I have an issue with the way Kameez ‘s are stitched nowadays. Look at the first pic and you see the side slits on the kameez riding so high almost upto the waist. When did this ugh trend start ?
I suspect it helps salwar kameez appear less ‘aunty ji-ish’ to the younger crowd, since it does somewhat accentuate a shapely derriere/nice legs. I think that’s the beauty of South Asian staples like sarees/suits, they can be slightly modified to appeal to younger generations, but the classic styles/cuts are still always present! Kiara looks amazing!

Why do you guys always call a salwar kameez or churidar kurta a ‘suit’?
A suit is a blazer , pant, and shirt. It’s an ensemble. It’s NOT what you call a kurta pyjama/salwar/churidar. Please stop calling indian wear ‘suit’, it grates on the nerves.
Maybe i missed the memo, but a salwar kameez and churidar kurta have been called “suits” for years!
