In Tarun Tahiliani

While in Delhi for the launch of a jewelry store she endorses, Katrina was photographed in an icy-blue Tarun Tahiliani sari. Serious bling, a given considering the occasion, rounded out her look.

Like the sari on her?

  1. Is the blouse strapless? Can’t tell.

Also…it’s so refreshing when stars try something new…which is why even though Katrina’s Mahima Mahajan lehenga at another store opening wasn’t the greatest outfit, the jewelry choice, bindi and straight hair kinda made it something different from her. And now the next day, we get pretty much a repeat of that, and once again she looks monotonous and boring. :/

      • You completely missed the point. I said regardless of the clothing, she looked really nice/refreshing at the other event because of the styling neck up. And one day later at a different event she literally looks the same neck up, so it looks repetitive to me.

  2. The saree is an off pick for the kind of jewellery she was wearing. This one needed a solid colour silk saree or a more traditional saree

  3. Love the sari, the color and the jewelry. If only she could change her hair with some up-do and styled the sari correctly to showcase the necklace. Also, something seems very different with her face in the first pic where she is smiling.

    • No. I think most of the ladies in my home state of Bengal can wear and accessorize a saree better than this. They may not be as fit and trim like Katrina but in terms of aesthetics and creativity and style, she is far far far below. And I say Bengal because that’s where my most time is spent in listing after street style.

      • Aesthetics and creativity need not be reflected through dressing sense or personal style. Some women choose really minimal which is ok. Also maybe as a brand ambassador the focus wasn’t on her clothes but on the latest jewellery collection she was to wear.

  4. I loved her the saree and the jewelry- the drape was too “austere” though. Given the soft color a more graceful drape may have been better but on an aside is something up with her eyebrows?

  5. She is totally rocking the light summer hues!
Having said that, not a fan of the sari itself and it clashes with the gorgeous jewelry but again, she is looking super pretty! :-*

  6. Saree is nice, draping is perfect. But for the jewllery ad, this saree is underwhelming. Her face looks strange, cannot see her eyes.

  7. she ticks all the right boxes — pretty face, perfect body, groomed hair — but she doesn’t bring an ounce of personality to her pix. she reminds me of Jahnvi in some ways, as lacklustre — and while a debutant might get a pass on that, it doesn’t work when you’ve been working for as long as Katrina has.
but wait, that may be the very reason she’s survived in Bollywood…

    • Speaking of jhanvee and Bollywood, I was browsing my nearest theatre here in NY and was shocked and amused to see the poster of Dhadak. What is wrong with Bollywood. It seems like a rerun of some 80s movie starting jeetendra. From their poses to backdrop, colors design, jaded and stale is an understatement. It seems Bollywood is struggling to cash on masses and doesn’t have a clue what is going to bring those big crowds back, so keep visiting lame old plots. Maybe too many businessman have taken control of creatives for big budget movies.

      • Actually, mainstream Hindi Cinema is faring much better in many aspects than before, and definitely many times better than the 80s. Dhadak-or for that matter any one movie-is not an umbrella representation of Hindi films. From the aesthetics and grandeur perspective, Bajirao Mastani or Padmavat are films you might want to check out. Queen, Naam Shabana, Mary Kom have centered the femme narrative. Milkha Singh and Soorma are talking about real life sportsmen other than cricketers….
I do agree with you about Dhadak being lame in every single aspect of Cinema ! And to think they went after Sairat which is undoubtedly a masterpiece.

        • Agree with you completly. Dhadak by no means a representation of Bollywood. Certainly the smaller movies are far more superior in quality and content. But still they keep going back to such cliched jaded material thinking they will be able to strike a chord with a certain segment of society. There is definetly a disconnect somewhere.

          • A bit unrelated to the original post, but Dhadak is honestly only going to be liked by Bollywood’s nepotism supporters and richy-rich fraternity. I can’t really think of a better reason they decided to adapt an already eternalised film like Sairat.

  8. Saree summery and cool, drape elegant as it should be, Katrina fresh faced and lovely, jewellery in silver would have galaxied the look several notches. It does clash here somehow

  9. Its a lovely saree. I just feel that she never “owns” the saree like other women do. When Kangana or a Deepika wear sarees, it looks like they are comfortable in it. Its doesnt feel like a costume. Katrina always looks like a foreigner wear a saree in her first Indian wedding. Its awkward. This is a lovely saree wasted on her.

  10. She looks fantastic for a change. That drape is so flattering on her! She looks better than she has in anything else in a very long time.

  11. She looks pretty, she looks the same all the time. From airports to wedding receptions to launches, she dons the same look even in different clothes.
