In DvF

Wearing a colorful multi-print DvF dress, Katrina attended the music launch of her upcoming movie. Side-swept hair, orange-tone lip color and nude pumps finished out her look. Her signature minimalist approach worked well in this instance; the actor looked good!

  1. MEH.. This is so boring only coz its a DvF worn by Katrina I guess you are obligated to post it.. This could well be a dress by Forever21 and a look that any ordinary girl would wear while going out and about.

  2. “signature minimalist approach” WOW what a change in tone PnP. You guys have surrendered to internal bollywood groupies haven’t you. What a shame.
So few years back a certain Ms Kapoor criticized all actress for no sense of fashion and everyone wanted them to hire a stylist. Read any Ashwariya , Vidhya or old Deepika posts and many more.
And when they do hire one and up their game a notch. Suddenly minimalist ( read frumpy boring and slacker ) is in demand. Way to go …

    • Hardly Reah. Go through the archives… We’ve never championed one actor’s look a 100% of time, no, not even Sonam Kapoor. This constant finger wagging is getting exhausting (and I don’t mean just you). We can’t be more removed from Bollywood… I assure you, we have no friends in the industry or their digits on our smart phones. If I suddenly am gravitating towards minimalism, maybe that’s the phase I am in! And the next day, I may be all in to OTT’ness. Fashion is subjective and the text you read in each post is one person’s opinion. And the comment section is for you to voice yours on a particular featured look. This constant speculation of how we’ve sold out just needs to stop!

P.S: I am not sure I understand what you mean but Katrina, on these pages in any case has always kept it minimal. And hence, “signature”. Yes, sometimes it is blah and vanilla. And sometimes, just sometimes, it works. Like here. It does to me anyway!

      • Sorry P&P, this comment is probably going to exhaust you as well! See, but here’s the thing – your readers, over the years, tend to have a certain expectation from the blog. You can choose to ignore this, or respect it. There is really no argument against a statement like – it’s a personal opinion – and thank goodness we all don’t agree on everything. But again here’s the thing, and I am going to take the example of another wonderful, very successful blog I follow, the GoFug girls. If you follow that blog you’ll see their clear fondness for certain celebs like Emma Stone, Cate/Carte Blanchett and Tilda Swinton, but the bloggers OWN that liking/bias/fondness whatever you want to call it, and thus it ceases to offend – you know that their personal fondness for that particular celebrity is in some way guiding the critique. But it’s hard to take it seriously when you say – no favorites, no championing of anyone etc – when you actually do it! Come on, all of us cannot be wrong all the time? What’s wrong with just saying it out loud? I don’t know about the sold out part etc and I would not make such accusations, but do have a gripe against this type of reasoning; it’s like the equivalent of: “All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others”! Anyway it’s your blog and you will continue to comment as you see fit, but please be prepared for loyal readers to call out some comments from time to time!

        • Assuming you’ve published my previous comment – not that I doubt you will – would like to add to it that at the end of the day, you two do a mighty fine job and have grown this blog into something good – heck, you’ve been quoted, referenced, and even asked to go to hell! As a long-time reader, I would like this space to continue to thrive. Sorry for throwing in the occasional brickbats, along with the bouquets ;)

      • PnP , i did read my post again and it does seem to have bad tone, i do apologize for that but the thing is Katrina does has it easy on most fronts and that annoys a lot of us. As someone once pointed out it may be her stars but she does seem to have it much much easier than others. Even if you like minimalist look you cannot deny that this dress is doing nothing to her body type . As is visible her body has changed a a bit and the same old ‘frocks’ don’t do justice forget about justice that is long shot, they don’t look good on her period.

  3. In complete support of P nP,
Yes every actress almost has a signature style … PC for short and fitted ones , Alia for chilled relaxed , Kareena for more matured knee lengths , Katrina for being too plain … So on and so forth .
Their opinion is not running on anyone’s views . They have always been open about the looks tht they like .. The looks they don’t like and still made to work because if the certain actresses .
As viewers we can’t expect them to behave like saints . They so have their phases of acceptance , their moods and their particular liked for silhouettes and colors .
All u ladies need to chill down . Stop being so judgmental out of blog . It’s to blog . PNp are not here to be judged by us .

  5. and in support of the blog and bloggers: everybody does not need to have sharp opinions and then also put them LOUD & CLEAR…. in picky words and emos…. also Its ok to achieve this star clientelle through ur work (blog) and then not write nasty on them, its human and u have also earned it.

  6. Nice legs! That begs the question, though. (Not specific to katrina) Why is it that Bollywood women look like they skipped upper body day and Bollywood men look like they skipped leg day? Aren’t the gyms in India unisex/co-ed?

  8. Pretty dress and great legs. This is the first time I am seeing Katrina with so much lighter foundation on her face. I understand some celebs want to look “fair” and do that but why has Katrina fallen into the same trap.
