In Zuhair Murad

At Sorry Angel‘s Cannes premiere, Kangana walked the red carpet in Zuhair Murad. Not one for predictable, Kangana’s hair and make-up added bit of an edge to an otherwise conventionally glamorous gown.

The look delivered on drama. And Kangana worked every bit of it, head to toe! We like.

  1. What a dreamy look yet so effortless ! She makes me swoon. So desirable this look is. Fresh fresh fresh. And this is side bob done right.

  2. Gorgeous!!! The hair style is what sets this look apart and it’s quite a bold move to experiment with the hair in spite of this being Kangana’s first appearance at Cannes. It shows how strong her fashion game is. This is a home run! I hope international fashion brands are paying attention.

I love that she chose a strong, feminine Queen-like styling with makeup and hair to complement this exquisite gown, instead of a demure, princessy look. There are better pictures/videos online with close ups of the gown and its beautiful train. It certainly helps that she has the rare supermodel-like pizzazz. Slay queen!

    • Lol .. supermodel! She had a total of 4 pictures and didnt walk the red carpet. Its funny to me how much hype she generates just because people like to see the little guy win

      • I agree Lisa. If anyone else would have delivered this look it would have been shredded to pieces. And I see words like slay and queen thrown around again and again in the comments section which makes me suspicious . The fact is that she was ignored at the red carpet and unfortunately her gown looks a tad too big in the red carpet pictures. So much so that the designer himself has chosen not to showcase those pictures on his social media accounts.

          • Yeah … earlier not the red carpet ones. Please check again… its because her dress does not fit well and the side views indicate a slight malfunction (side boob alert) ..you can check that. There is nothing personal against Kangana and its important to call spade a spade. I am honestly shocked at the double standard. FYI I was very disappointed by DP’s Met Gala look. So a very neutral reader here.

      • @Liaa: Your constant negging on Kangana’s posts is quite unsavory and petty. If you know Kanagna personally and have issues with her, why not sort it out in private? However, if you do not know her in person, your behavior seems pathological.

  3. She looks fab and show stopping !! *as per usual I guess* But the second pic reminds me of a very specific scene in fashion i.e., the photoshoot they do after Shonali gets reprimanded by her agent for her unprofessional-ism and coke addiction.

  4. I’m wowed. Her ability to take chances with unconventional styling is commendable – given that it’s her first outing in Cannes, one wouldn’t blame the temptation to go safe or out and out dramatic sexy . Here, the styling and personality are so strong that Despite of the gazillion sheer Zuhair Murads and Ralph & Russos and Dior – Araya, Petra, Deepika, Aya and even Lupita – her appearance was style wise more impactful.

  5. She looks fabulous . It appeared however that a lot of the red carpet media was uninterested in her – not sure they even know her . Pity .

  6. Honestly I am disappointed!!!
I was hoping to see a lot of drama from Miss fashionista Kangana ….. she didn’t surprise us at all … in fact went for a safer lace gown like the whole bunch of Cannes !!

This look … the hair clashes big time with the gown … the gown was begging for a more feminine and classy softer hair do
She looked like a Tom boy here

    Major major let down !!!!!!!!!

  7. The dress is gorgeous. Objectively, the makeup is not great and the poses are a bit ridiculous but isn’t there something about Kangana that makes you not want to nitpick!

  8. I think the meaning of the word ‘gorgeous’ changed overnight. That to me isnt it.

Its a zuhair murad so yes its exquisite. Its a washed out colour which needed edgy makeup. But this washes her out more. The sideview was unflattering and that hairdo is bordering on ugly.

I think people pull punches with kangana because they want someone edgy but from a neutral non fan point of view, this was a wash out.

  9. And this is how you do it . She makes you curious about the lady Wearing the clothes rather than the clothes worn by the lady! Attitude , spunk , confidence and style. Fabulous.

  10. I’m going to say this out loud – Kangana has been on the cutting edge of fashion before Sonam appeared on the scene. Sonam surely deserves credit for making fashion popular. But Kangana doesn’t get enough credit for her fashion sense which is modern and global.

  11. Such a soft, delicate colour combined with her adequately fierce-diva looks. She is shining and how! Perfect amount of drama with neatness. I have seen enough of sparkly gowns with hair down. She treaded her own path with that gorgeous hairdo. And what a jawline, man!!!

  13. This girl is a born supermodel . She can take any look up several notches just with that attitude . Loving that she has no accessories on . And that bob …… wow … only she could’ve had the guts from the Indian lot

  14. Wow the attitude and the hair elevates the otherwise a simple look. Deepika should observe a lot from Priyanka and Kangana how to carry oneself on international platforms. DP was looking so lost out in Metgala. And here Kangana rocks in her debut In Cannes.

  15. I think we have seen a zillion versions of this gown, that too, in Cannes only. Nevertheless, she strikes a pretty picture. The hair and the make up make it very interesting. But I really wish she stops with those poses. It’s kind of boring and looks forced. Would like to see her in relaxed and comfortable poses. Even her airport pics have the same expressions.

  16. I love that she has an edgy hairstyle for this rather demure gown. But i’m still in love (and awe) with the black Sabya saree she wore earlier.

  17. Oh my!! She’s such a rockstar!
No matter how prettier Deepika is compared to Kangana, when we make both of them stand together wearing the same designer, I won’t be able to take my eyes off Kangana. She slays with that attitude.

  18. Her red carpet pictures are not very flattering. Unfortunately the dress is a size big for her. So does not do her favours when she is in motion.

  19. She looks great and I love her hair. But I wish it was not a sheer gown in a non-color. She could have and has done so much better.

  20. Kangana is really looking gorgeous! And very this styling is glam but in a non-Bollywood way, quite edgy and dramatic enough for Cannes – absolutely loving it. Such an amazing Cannes debut. Here’s hoping there will be more ..
